I don't think there're any swastikas nore SS-runes in CoH at all.
Also, Panzer Elite is the Panzer Elite. Sure, everybody knows they're a mix of Panzerlehr and SS, but Relic never mentions them in particular.
I fully agree with everything Nubrannosaurus said: I have nothing against SS-units being part of the OH, as long as they're not named SS-Grenadiers or SS-Panzerdivision.
That includes of course having none of their symbols as well.

I'll then be OK with it and simply don't build/call-in said units.

I would like to see Ostheer's doctrines have VERY heavy anti-infantry properties. During the war, the Germans deployed a huge number of artillery guns, mortars, howitzers, etc... to the eastern front. It being reflected in their doctrines would be awesome.

Interesting tidbit about the StuG III. Stugs throughout the entire war, including the versions with the StuK 40 L/48  Anti-Tank gun, were employed by the Artillery Branch of the German Army, and as such, the early Stug IIIs  fitted with the StuK 37 L/24 were intended to be used in the infantry support role (as in firing HE rounds at fixed positions / infantry). It was only later the Germans realized it would turn out to be a great Tank Destroyer.

Actually, yes, they are mentioned. See the post before yours.

The Storm Troopers of the Blitzkrieg doctrine have "SS" in white on their jacket collars.

I´ve always found it very silly that people can´t seem to grow up on the SS issue. I mean, you can have a doctrine in vCoH that´s called TERROR, which uses V1 bombs that fell by the dozen on London killing hundreds of people, you can use propaganda attacks, and the Knights´ Cross Holders have a suspiciously black uniform. In the British campaign, a German officer is talking about "incest" and about "your leaders going to the theater with your girlfriends". In the American campaign, there is a mission that starts with staring at a couple of dozen ROTTING AMERICAN CORPSES.

And those are just mechanics and plot. During a standard game, you will hear your troops complaining about not wanting to be there, screaming in fear and pain, and also see them get blown to bloody chunks.

But God forbid the feeble, innocent, pure minds of WWII wargame players having to cope with playing as an SS commander. In a videogame.
