here at last, the long awaited sequel to the Russian Campaign, the Ostheer Campaign. the Ostheer in this army is based on my own proposal, and indeed any proposal in which the Ostheer get Command trucks. it will need some minor changes if the Ostheer get static buildings (Especially for Fighting Withdrawal)
any and all comments are welcomed and appreciated
Maintaining the Siege: 14th January, 1944. 20 miles east of Leningrad.
The Russians have launched an offensive aimed at destroying some of the guns shelling Leningrad. Hauptmann Wilhelm Kraus, commanding the 17th Company, must protect the guns and halt the Russian attack.
“Ivan is launching another attack aimed at destroying our artillery shelling Leningrad. They must not be successful. Kraus, defend the guns. do not let the Russians get to them."
Fighting withdrawal: 28th January, 1944. 30 miles southeast of Leningrad.
The Russian forces have unleashed the Leningrad-Novgorod Strategic Offensive, and have shattered the front line. Kraus, with support from Tiger Ace Johannes Baum must hold off the red tide long enough for Army Group North to escape, and then ensure their HQ Command Truck escapes safely.
Shield and Sword: 7th March 1944, just outside the Estonian Border.
Army Group North has a new commander, Field Marshall Model, and a new battle strategy, the ‘shield and sword’ tactic. Kraus and Baum must defeat a Russian attack, and then launch a full scale counterattack to push the Russians back.
Hube's Pocket: 31st March, 1944, east of Tarnopol
The 1st Panzer army has been encircled by the Russians, and Kraus’s Unit is flung into the thick of it. Now they must break through the Russian cordon, and hold it open long enough to allow the 1st Panzer army to escape.
Narva: 27th July, 1944, Narva, Estonia
The Russians have been pounding at the German positions around Narva ever since march. Now they have created a breach in the defensive line, held by allied Estonian troops. Kraus must plug the hole before the trickle turns into a flood.
Wolomin: 1st August, 1944, 45kms east of Warsaw.
Operation Bagration has all but destroyed Army group centre, and almost nothing stands between the Red Army and Warsaw. However the Russians have overstretched their advance, and now the time for a counterstroke has come. Kraus’s unit must spearhead the attack on the 3rd Tank Corps, and push them away from Warsaw.
Sandomierz: 13th August 1944.
The Soviet 6th Tank Corps has a bridgehead over the river Vistula near the town of Sandomierz. Kraus, with the support of Baum and the 501st heavy tank battalions new King Tigers, must destroy the bridgehead. with up to four King tigers attacked, it should be easy. or will it?
