Bye all
« on: December 16, 2012, 03:05:34 PM »
I won't be very active, if at all on the forum from now and will likely cease to play 1.7. Thanks for anyone I've had games with over the years and especially Crani for hosting the GPW tourney that was a lot of fun, and the other balancers and devs I worked with. It was fun while it lasted. Darc, Killar, Donthateme, Crani, Riggs, Ape, Glimz, JB, Yauz, Snugz, Paciat, Dzierzan - you were all both a pain (:P) and a pleasure to work with and I wish all of you the best. Sorry if I won't be around to answer any technical questions anymore in the forums. Everyone will have to learn Corsix on their own.

To the community; if you want to see EF succeed you will need to be more active from now on. Arrange games, test for bugs, try to help balance, post replays, host tourneys. Do anything you can to help this mod from going under or it will fade away into obscurity. If you continue to love playing EF, you need to continue to support it. Demand more from the devs in terms of information. Make more suggestion posts. Help shape Ostheer into what you want it to be.

Goodbye.

I am in full agreeance and sadly, support of your decision Dennis. I hope that we can find work in a more respectable environment, since we have not found one of over 2 years of work for some of us.

I can't fathom that it came to this and I sincerely want to thank you for all the work you've done, and also want to thank Riggs, Darc, Killar, Ape, Glimz, Yau, Snug, JB, Paciat, Burro, Maxi, Bish, even redguard, as you were both a struggle to work with sometimes and a pleasure to work with sometimes. I am proud of what we've done for this mod, and I want to thank all the people who worked with TGPW and played, I may not have been the best coordinator but I hope you all enjoyed. I may not be able to guarantee your access to the beta, winners, because I have tried under developer promises for some time now and they seem uninterested, even after confirming it was possible at the beginning and the end of the tourney. I hope you all enjoyed and perhaps I can host another at some time if OH becomes released.

It is a shame EF is losing its members like this. But everyone is free to make their choice. I don't know you very well so I can't give a nice little goodbye. But I wish you the best.

And who will give me advice when I keep posting in the strategy and tip section ;D

Dennis, you are he guy who bring me to this mod with your cast. In fact you bring me back to playing COH, so I must thank you for this.
It was a plaesure to be your mentee.

I still hope that you are looking at wrong calendar and this is 1st April joke... and tomorrow everything will change to better statment for the mod, which means you and other removed balancers to be back and get respect that you guys deserve.

Thanks for the offer Maxi but I think I'm well and truly done. Hope those wonderful maps you've made and collected are released, even if OH is not.

Sommar; several members of the balance team were kicked from the balance team, myself among them, due to a long standing disagreement with the devs. I asked to be removed unless certain rights were yielded, and they were not. As a result, I have lost interest in this mod and will look to something else to occupy my time. I only hope the work I have already invested is not wasted and that everyone has enjoyed playing Soviets over the past few years.

Thanks Dreamer, it was fun to get you to a working state, just like Soviets. :D
I hope you continue to improve and maybe we can play some more games in future if I feel like it in that time.

What other balancers were kicked because i don't want to lose more people!

Perhaps the developers will enlighten you, because I'm tired of repeating it, and so are my brothers eliminated like me. I was hardly involved in such action until I stood up for some of the other guys.

This will delay the Oh by months if it comes out at all. I urge you to take Dennis' advice if you want new patches, even if you want a new hotfix.

The developers brought doom upon themselves. And you know who you are.

It was all about power, as you can imagine. And please don't say "the balancers" or "the developers" - there were exceptions on both sides.

Its always a sad day when politics finds it way into anything.

And Cranialwizard your saying if the Ostheer even does get completed Company of heroes 2 will already be released? If so Then December 16th is the Day this Mod died.

If that is the case and its over hopefully whats done of OH will be released to at least give some satisfaction to the people who have been waiting Years for it.

With that being said the work that was put in is Very much appreciated.
