Help to destroy IS-2s

When I kept playing as the SU I thought it was UP. Now I realize im so wrong. Sure concentrated PAK fire will destroy it but it takes a LOOOOOOOOONG time. They usually are able to back up before getting destroyed and while getting repaired by mechanics. Stugs, Panthers or any tank in that matter (Except the KT of course) is just like free Vet for the IS-2. The best way for me right now is hopefully the IS-2 goes into a mine and 5-6 Panzershreck Grens attack it and rush. I usually lose them all due to the support around it or it escaping with a margin of health. My other tactic is luring the enemy armored force into a trap with 3 AT-guns 4 Grens and 2 Panthers. That is if they are even stupid enough to attack the anti tank trap with just an IS-2 or maybe 2. (no pun intended) They will often flank me with the IS-2s and 3 Guard Squads rushes the AT-Guns and grens. The Panthers and remaining forces will be killed by the IS-2. This is not even counting the ISU-152's power and the firebase. I think my problem is making the SU players take the half of the map while my team takes the other half. Im realizing that the late game of SU is all about steamrolling enemy defenses and breaking through with the RBS and T-34/85s decent mobility/firepower for the price or brute force of arty and tank destroyers and heavy tanks.

if you play as whr vsing the soviets, you can negate the steamrolling of KV-2, IS-2 and IS-3 etc with flaks and well used defensive tactic's

Mmm yeah Flaks...but it would mean I wont get my heavy equipment. I find the Tigers/Stormtroopers necessary.

But Panther + Pak and a good IS-2 user will just simply go to the side of the AT gun and shoot at the Panther. And it will destroy it after 6 shots. The AT gun will keep repositioning and after the Panther has been dealt with, the IS-2 user will just circle strafe the Pak. Also 2 PZIVs?

IS-2s are probably one of the least scary units on the Russian side. Yeah they're devastating to tanks in a slugfest but their lack of speed means they're sitting ducks for Paks, Panthers, 88s, grens, pretty much anything. An IS-2 is incredibly easy to deal with if you play it right and make sure your AT supports each other. T-34s are scarier because they can exploit the smallest gaps and wreak havoc for a pretty low cost comparatively. A dead IS-2 may mean a lost game for the enemy.

I find the AT Guns and Panthers easy to destroy when Im on SU using an IS-2. I just kite the AT gun and shoot at the panther leaving me with half my health or at least 1/3 enough to circle strafe the AT-Gun. Grens with shreks is annoying but I just get my Guards or Strelky. 88 is also like the AT gun but a bit harder but you can do it. I kill IS-2 with 88s and a Panther, it removes me being in PE though.

2 flaks used well will chew through any armour. you can still get flaks with PE but you would have to deselect the Nashorn.
personally i find the Nashorn more usefull because its mobile.
