Ok, so other than those Sync errors; it's a great update. Really keen for the hotfix for that.

I love that the Ruskie sniper can do his job now with out a lot of painful micromanagement. The new skins are great! and I like the conscripts a lot now -not quite as good as the original no Pop-cap cost ones [I loved using a big mob of them to distract the enemy and capture points] but I still think that a 7 pop cost is expensive for how weak they are.

The Observer team is a weird unit... the Flare is cool, but the MU cost is very high. And they don't seem to be making any kills -even against Pioneers. I'll have to experiment a little more with those guys.

I think the Marine Commandos are a very different army now -they are really diverse and interesting, GREAT job! The Crusader is nifty! but I think the 'Hull Down' animation is not working -it just stops moving and the treads on the wheels seem to fade, no sandbags or such being set up.

What are the [OH] maps? -some are very interesting, but every one above 2p is not showing their Thumbnail picture in the map selection.

aaannd speaking of maps: the most important thing is MORE 8 player ones! I play with a bunch of people here in Australia and a good friend in the States -we are all EF junkies and love having big multi-player games. Moaaaar-Maps please!

Every time I show EF to someone they always say how professional it looks and it just keeps getting better; so keep up the good work! Bring on the Ostheer!

Conscripts take up one population each, but also provide one each. That way, they are the same as costing no pop but we also fix the issue of 0pop units not showing squad size correctly.

Observer team will take a lot of balancing because the flare is potentially very abusive, like recon run, since it is an uncouterable detection unlike a jeep or bike etc.

iirc rizz uploaded the new fix full patch already

so the current version is 1.701

So then I have been downloading this 1.700 version for nothing. Great! Well at least its gonna feel good to delete it XD


Edit: I did the genius move of deleting it before even looking for the 1.7001 version who doesnt seem to be downloadable atm.

I will recommend myself for the cross of intelligence nobel prize !

Nope. I just uninstalled 1.7 and dl/installed 1.7.1 and it works.

What Riggs said is correct, there was just a bunch of unnecessary files released with 1.7.

So where do I find 1.701 ? Or should I just download teh 1.700 with hotfix from the moddb site?

Hey you know the EF chat box when you first load EF (prior to starting the game). It still doesn't remember your password . Can this be fixed
