the bunker could be a hole like a square in the ground with a little camouflaged roof with a machine gun in... what do you think?

I was thinking, maybe the russians could have mobile buildings that can set up as tents, but that could, say perhaps set up in buildings, allthough its probably a programming nightmare. This way you could encapsulate the feeling of both defensive and offensive buildings?

The idea is good:

Perhaps the vehicle should be a GAZ staff car?

yeah, or just have the one staff car capable of both becoming a permament base if set up in a building that could be included in the kursk and orel maps the devs are working on or a mobile bunker

the problem is that if you have two hq units, the russians will take ages to set up beacuse the player will have to choose the perfect place for both, abnd both will take ages to build etc.

The Russians had to set up almost all barracks, armories, and other infantry related buildings in captured houses. The  large pictures of Stalin were used as propaganda and to discourage the Germans from trying to take the buildings from them. Vehicles were usually built before the battles in western Russia and called in for reinforcements, and armoured divisions had them on hand always. Vehicles would probably be best left a support option.

What if you made it so that you have a HQ, but you have to set up your barracks, armoury, etc. in captured houses.
Instead of Forward Barracks you would see more options, but tank depot can only be set up in large buildings (factories etc).

I like that idea!

And for more rural maps there could be those buildings nearby the HQ.

But for balance you should only be able to have one of each, except maybe for the barracks.

This could also be used to help balance heavy armor, like the beginning soviet engineers would have a repair skill similar to PE ground forces, and they would have to call in mechanics from off-map.
