That's because as I've said they are still in development. I'm still updating, still adding, still modifying. The WWI one I worked on much more than the WWII one

I've actually started adding more things to the WWII one already, since it is lacking in Italian and Japanese weapons.

Goody, we have plenty of time then. I may make another Powerpoint for Vietnam and I may also make one for aircraft (for WWII), which ever you would prefer. Be sure to show those to your teachers so I can get an opinion out of them as well. Opinion drives everything in this kind of thing. Also, I hope none of them are French XD.

IDK what your powerpoint looks like neosdark but IMO a good thing to add to your WW2 component of the class in general is an analysis of the generals. BBC (I think) had a TV series called Generals At War where they analyzed each generals tactics and their decisions and what was behind those very decisions and the consequences.

Om Nom Nom Nom
"Panzer-Guppy ready for battle!"
"Ha Ha Ha! We have the ZEAL!"
"Grenadiers! Fall In!!"

I know. in my brainstorming of components for the class i have generals and leaders written down

"I am a crack shot!"
"Heart or head either way Jerry's dead!"
"Don't worry, we're basically bulletproof!!!"

Well the problem with generals is that they are people and people have opinions on other people, some of which aren't very nice. I hate most American generals of the war (except Ike and Bradley), think all Soviet generals were butchers (which they were), and my opinions can go on....

And I also speak French, I just jab at the French lack of military prowess A LOT.

You might consider asking the school library to get some of these books for a reading list:

  • Strategy, Liddle-Hart
  • On War, Clauswitz
  • The Prince, Machievelli
  • Annabasis of Alexander, Arrian*
  • The Gallic Wars, Caesar*
  • The Art of War, Sun Tzu
About.com has good newsletters on Military history and ancient history that may be useful as well. the asterisked books are available on line here as well. Google it.
Modern military thought is something Tigerclawstyle is good at. You might PM him.

They were stuck in many ways in the past. The top brass did not approve of the .276 Pederson for the M1 Garand (which I believe was their worst mistake ever), Patton was a reckless nut who got lucky time and time again (as well as had good, smart, resourceful soldiers), Leslie Mcnair was fool who believed that upgunning Shermans was a bad idea and that was why we didn't have 76mm gun Shermans on Normandy (also why the M26 Pershing appeared so late in the war, they were ready before D-Day)...

I don't have much time atm, but I'll go on later.
