unit details for ostheer suggestion (kingtiger)

Panzer II
Role: light tank
Weapons: 2 heavy turret MGs
Upgrades: replace one MG with a 20mm gun
Abilities: none
Description: fast, light tank
Armor type: light armor
Effectiveness: good against infantry and light vehicles




Panzer III
Role: light tank
Weapons: 37mm gun, 2 MGs
Upgrades: version E (faster, better armor), version G (50mm gun), version M (armored skirts)
Abilities: "Schnellfeuer" (fires 3 shots very fast, then stops firing for a few seconds)
Description: fast, light tank
Armor type: light armor
Effectiveness: good against infantry and light vehicles




Panzer IV
Role: medium tank
Weapons: 75mm stubby AT gun, 2 MGs
Upgrades: version F (better armor), version G (75mm long gun, skirts), version H (better armor)
Abilities: none
Description: medium tank
Armor type: medium armor
Effectiveness: good against light vehicles and medium tanks




Panzer V "Panther"
Role: medium tank
Weapons: 75mm gun, 2 MGs
Upgrades: version A (faster, more reliable*, greater LOS), version G (better armor)
Abilities: none
Description: medium tank, first version takes motor damage and broken treads easily when attacked
Armor type: heavy sloped armor
Effectiveness: very good against tanks
*: treads don't break easily anymore

Jagd[tiger] is a buildable replacement for the Kettenkrad... It can cloak and cap points. :P

Panther was classified as a Medium tank.

German Ostheer?

I think Panzer III and StuG III would be cool, because they were extrem important for the eastern front and
perhaps with upgrades like 5cm KwK L/60 or 7,5cm KwK L/24 for Panzer III and 7,5 cm StuK 40 for StuG you have a big    spectrum for armored units ^^

"Luchs"

A light reconnaissance tank, the Ausf. L was the only Panzer II design with the overlapping road wheels to enter series production, with 100 being built from September 1943 to January 1944 in addition to conversion of the four Ausf. M tanks. Originally given the experimental designation VK1303, it was adopted under the alternate name Panzerspähwagen II and given the popular name Luchs (Lynx). The Lynx was larger than the Ausf. G in most dimensions (length 4.63 m; height 2.21 m; width 2.48 m). It was equipped with a six speed transmission (plus reverse), and could reach a speed of 60 km/h with a range of 290 km. FuG12 and FuG Spr a radio were installed, while 330 rounds of 20 mm and 2,250 rounds of 7.92 mm ammunition were carried. Total vehicle weight was 13 tons.

the Turan is meant to be a doctrine dependend call-in unit (represents the minor axis nations with a limit of 2) and not a regular buildable unit like the others. just read my suggestion for more info...

It would be neat if the Ostheer were like a combo of the British and Panzer Elite, with mobile HQs and medicstations etc, also have lots of armor and vehicles.

just thought maby  Stug should been an upgradeble vehicle so in the start u have weak stugIII ausf.A version but u can  upgrade it to StuG III Ausf. G(with all those small upgrades in B,C,D,E and F versions) -so it becomes more like tank hunter than infantry support vechile,StuH 42-mobile howitzer with ability to fire 3 or 4 round inaccurate barage and StuG III (Flamm)-flamethrower support vehicle .

Stug III G have a large gun of 75mm effective versus tanks
