current mods intalled on the server

-Cannons - you can build cannons which actually fire
-Catacombs - Dungeons are placed around the world where you battle against mobs and get treasure
-chestrestock - some chests automatically restock
-cityworld
-craftbook
-creeperheal - explosions made by creepers, TNT, and other explosives automatically repair themselves
-DeathTpPlus -when you die, a chest appears where you died that holds your stuff
-Dynmap - provides an online map of the world
-likeaboss - Boss enemies have a random chance of appearing
-LWC - allows you to lock chests, doors, and more
-Mobarena - arenas are placed around the world where you can fight waves of mobs and get rewards
-multiverse - Multiple worlds are available to travel to
-radio beacon - compasses point to radio towers made of iron bars, so you dont get lost
-Starterkit - new player will get a starter kit of items to help them survive
-transporter - provides portals to travel to different worlds

I actually got this finally, but I've been playing on my brothers server. Have to say, I understand why it's earned the nickname 'MineCrack'...

Indeed. I play on a Tekkit server with my friends. It's basically a sick combination of tons of mods. I recommend you guys check it out. It deals with a wide combination of stuff including new minerals, machinery, muskets, new weapons, fixed ore spawn rates (iron is unusually low) and much much more

^ i was thinking of turning the server into a tekkit one, but it looks like they are not going to be upgrading tekkit anymore, or thats what i heard

Well even if they don't, there seems to be a huge amount of variety unseen in Vanilla MC
