Sector Co-relation to Maps 2.0
« on: May 13, 2012, 04:30:25 AM »
Hello there!

Here is the initial, untouched map, before the tournament will start to let you see the different sectors. Beneath it will be a full list of the territories and the maps that co-relate to the territory.
Every week, this post will be updated in order for you to see where your armies currently are and to plan which territory to attack next.

Special thanks to MaxiKing6 for his hard work on the map! You rock, man!

Perhaps you should show the starting position for Operation Barbarossa (Sector wise) on this map, its not like they will start already in Soviet Territory, no?

EDIT: Just draw a big Black (or Red) line through the border between sectors 29-35 and 36-40 indicating starting positions for Op. Barbarossa

There is a line on the "Untouched" map copy that I own. The border will be definite when the Round 1 map is posted.

To be clear, this is the sector map without any faction ownership so everyone gets a pretty clear idea on what is what.

In several hours the official start of Round 1 will begin where people can begin to make their attack orders. At that point, the Axis will begin to make their request to attack sectors and then Allies will choose whom will defend those sectors. From there, players will be in those designated areas for the time being.

Right lads, now the time has come to set up your armies! Organize a team meeting and discuss which players should be sent to the front first. Other players will act as reserve until they are needed, either on the Eastern or on the Western Front.

Allies: Remember that a certain amount of you guys will have to take part in the Invasion of Normandy - so decide wisely and don't just order your best players to defend mother Russia. Once switched to the Western Front, there's no way back except in case Operation Overlord or Dragoon fail.

Axis: Same for you. There'll be a second front sometime in the future, remember to think about your human ressources in order to be able to win on both frontlines.

Since sectors 37 and 38 are Best of 3, perhaps 3 sets of battles can be lined up for those sectors including such reserve players?

You should have added Buda Pest as the Russian had to have a full scale Siege on it and it could replace or just be in the middle of Hungary.

Perhaps, but I feel that the map doesn't have to be picture perfect even if it is fairly accurate. I would like to think that the battles in Western/Eastern Hungary would be represented by playing on the selected maps. Besides, I think that the map is already pretty much set in stone so I think it'll be fine.

Hope that this is ok.

I named the locations with map names to make it easier- actually I did it for myself but maybe some will find this easier to concentrate. Some areas were too small to write the name in but i guess even actual one is readable anyway.

I would suggest sector #38 be reduced to Simuz, Stealth as an alternate.

I would like to make the edition: Sector #37 can connect to Sector 46

I will be chilling in Minsk.

I'll be going to Minsk, but just because Cranial is there. :P
And yes, I'm serious.
