Develop other factions for COH2

Just because there relic is making a different eastern front doesnt mean we wont finish ours and support it. and even then we can move on to other projects. there will always be AI and other stuff to improve, and maybe our soviets can be a reward faction for their soviets

It's slated to be released in 2013, so there is a little bit of time yet.  Maybe these crafty devs will make a 'Pacific Front' mod for it

Also we can't forget that Relic isn't making their Soviet Faction exactly like ours. If anything I would imagine them trying to differentiate their Soviets from the EF Soviets.

My hope is the new CoH will have much more unit customization (skins, weapons, etc.), better modding capabilities, and choices between CoH game-play and realism game-play. Oh and better balance comrades XD.

I honestly hope they dont rip you guys off. If I see similar unit symbols and teching patterns, I'm not buying that crap. I also wouldnt be surprised if they withhold modding tools and screw up gameplay, as to rake in cash on patches and DLCs-- BF3 style.

I have to say that EF is the platinum plated standard when it comes to CoH mods. Good on everyone that is or was part of the dev, balance, coding, and AI teams.

Hey devs, is the Eastern Front name copyrighted? I'm asking because if you have the name copyrighted then you may be able to get the whole faction and system you developed for it copyrighted, in case Relic pulls a copy out of their ass.

Wouldn't surprise me if they brought out some expansions, with the new snow system they could focus on the Ardennes, or they could go totally opposite and focus on North Africa, using the snow system with sand.

The Eastern front is so huge I doubt Relic's game will come remotely close to covering all the possible content.

Mod could focus on Romanian army for example, SS, NKVD etc.

Western Front is boring You'll probably find people jumping on that bandwagon straight away.

If there's something I've learned from developing this mod it's that you need to do something unique to avoid others stepping on your toes. Personally, I'd rather make a hypothetical early 50's Pact vs Nato Cold War mod... it offers something new and it's not straying far from WW2.
