There were quite a lot of swaztikas in the trailer. But that werent ingame graphic ofc. I can think many people are going to get the famous whitetrash skinhead argument
- Why can we have the hammer and sickle and not the swaztika ? the commis were worse!

Dont start a flamewar <3 IMO I dont care <3

Hmm, Am I the only one who dont see the stormtroopers as SS? I mean I can understand if people get that view. But only because they wear camo and got the title stormtroopers ( that aint what ss stands for that some people belive ) doesnt mean they are SS. There was camo in the wehrmacht too. Not as much as in the SS. But as the stormtroopers are part of the wehrmacht ingame and they are of a small squad. Why not? XD Especially cuz the COH camo is madeupp ;3

My English is kind of useless. But that because Iam swedish Wooohoooj! ;3

German law... you cannot display symbols of organisations deemed unconstitutional, which includes the NSDAP. There's a lot of German CoH players, I mean I can tell just being on this forum, Relic's just making it easier for themselves, can't blame them really.

Here's the law and the symbols affected... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strafgesetzbuch_%C2%A7_86a

Not sure, I think it's alright in a 'historical' context, they have Tanks and Planes in German museums with Swastika's on them. Since WW2 video games are interactive media and merely imitate history, they aren't exactly historical in context... maybe in intent, but obviously intent isn't enough for German lawmakers :P

No, they do, it's just censored beyond all recognition :P

From some website -
Quote
And a friend in Germany tells me that their version of Return to Castle Wolfenstein is hilarious, with all the swastikas removed, and famous Nazis like Hitler and Goering renamed to things like Hatlo and Goran.

Wolfenstien 3D was banned I believe, and still is.

The forgotten front? Who forgot it exactly? I think only the crappy US education system ignores the EF. The rest of the world learns about it fine AFAIK.
If you get into an argument with me, you're wrong.

I didn't learn about it at all in British (well, Scottish) schools either to be honest... I learned about the Blitz and the evacuation of children in Primary school with the Atomic bombing of Japan thrown in for good measure, then in High School I learned about appeasement and the conditions that led up to WW2, mostly focusing on that prat Chamberlain. That's all the WW2 I got over 12 years of schooling, pretty pathetic really, I had to get most of my education from reading encyclopedias in my own time as a child, school was just a formality.

Seriously, I somehow feel thankful for history being taught fast and briefly. If there are too much details it will be a very scary project with TONS of thing to remember and I think we're not going to graduate highschool anymore :P
The trailer somewhat disappoints me, I hope to see some small skirmishes rather than a short stupid lesson of history (again)

Only too true, here in India we learn not about how Indians fought in the War but how the GLORIOuS RED ARMY DESTROYED THE FASCIST PIGs

We had it about 1 year at school from reason for WW1 -> Treaty of Versailles -> stab-in-the-back myth -> Nazi regime -> Holocaust -> Downfall. The only thing we barely made was Eastern Front. In my opinion it's great how accurately we learned it at school. I hope they'll continue like this so a new WW can't happen.

As much as I am offended by this remark, I can't help but agree with it :P. We talked about the blitzkrieg into France but not too much about Stalin and his struggle to hold the line. That I had to learn on my own through books.

War in general is never covered in US schools. They will mention what kicked it off (in Europe, it was Hitler invading Poland for Lebanstram IIRC :P) and what happened afterwards (alot of ppl died, Cold War :P) but never what happens in between. US education considers the actual war to be "unimportant" and you should only focus on other events.

This. The US education system gives more importance to westward expansion in the 1860's than a war that killed 70 million people. >:(
