the true sight sounds also like MoW for me but im fine with this
what i realy dislike are tanks which can be captured and that your inf can die in the snow

at least there will be also summer maps so i see that 99% of all games will be played on these maps because you dont need a fireplace there to keep your inf alive which means less micro on these maps

Can't quite understand why people have issue with the whole taking of tanks. As a whole it first requires tanks to be abandoned. Which is a critical akin to Damaged engine or gun. And probably a bit rarer. So it's not going to happen with every tank.

And then will follow a battle as both sides actually try to aqquire it. Never mind that just like with an AT gun, either side could just wreck it fully. So i am having a hard time understanding people's resistance to the idea As far as i can see it adds some interesting depth and mirrors what happened in the war without going fully nuts with it.

As for true sight. Should be more fun, hopefully means less silly jedi snipers, "you can not see me despite the fact i am in the middle of a road" but also means that tank rushes will be a bit more limited, makes recon more important and ditto with tank and infantry cooperation. So as far as i can see, it adds tactics and depth, and hopefully stays simple. Unlike MoW. Lots of good ideas, lots of dodgy execution too though.

oh i was under the impression that a flamer could kill a crew of a full health tank and then you can steal it. Just like an atgun. If thats not like that then it could be interesting. THx for clarification Dane!

Nah From what i know, that might apply to stuff like open topped vehicles, SU-76s, and so on. But not a T-34 or anything like that. Essentially things you'd keep at the rear anyways.

We don't really know the full details of everything, but if something sounds a bit too extreme. Then that's usually because someone missed the actual nuances at play. Try reading the verge interview, they're not applying the sledgehammer approach to this and will be constantly finetuning all of this

As it is, i imagine tanks will receive some rework since we already know they will have limited line of sight, i also imagine side armour being added in and probably some improved hull and co-axial Mgs. Though that is speculation.

But if that was your line of thinking, i can understand why you were put off the thought of capturing tanks if flamethrowers could do all that But again, if something sounds as extreme as that, then it means someone has missed all the nuances.. or is lying to you .. Probably a MoW Fanboy undercover >.>

(this stug was found in russia and had still its original paint and markings. As it did rot for some years under the sky in a russian military base it was repainted because of rust and some damage done by the soldiers.)

Not sure if we get Ostketten or what. Certainly wider tracks have been mentioned as a soviet advantage. Then again, depending on the level of customization doctrine wise and such. it could be an option for some players.

As for the return of the Katyusha.. My guess it is a witless Journalist referring to the Calliope. Good rule of thumb when it comes to the majority of game journalists.. They have their heads up their arses. Which is why you read as many previews as possible

By the looks of the picture released on Facebook today I assume the Russian liberation
 army will be in the game to some extent check out patch on dead soldiers arm looks
exactly like RLA patch ive seen in pictures plus its clear of snow so u can see it.
Might be just something for campaign but still interesting.

Well seeing as there have been concept art for them as well, showing them in winter and summer gear. I suspect we'll see more to them. Some sort of Volksgrenadier equivalent is pretty likely.

Actually again there was nothing told new, except that they failed to interpretate the role of multiplayer games correctly. It might be true that alot of campaign games are played, but thats not what keeps a community alive.
Or he said that because he was the lead campaign designer.

I think the secret for the longevity of coh has been it can be modified.If they fail to make coh2 modable I think they will meet with very limited sucess.Just my observation.
