how to counter pg spam

considering that you're playing as soviets.

Or just get out one or two T90s, they should do a great job pinning and annihilating the Grens. Clear the rest with Sturmovie, as bishop said.

i agree mines,dugout are good when being defensive.but i want an offensive unit.i tried t-90 but it sucks it pins them but for some reason it cant hurt the armoured car or scout car of pe it can only damage kettenkart.i watched it shoot an armoured cars but it couldn't even decrease the health of the ac.snipers are good but if the pe player has too many pg squads its no use.

If you're not doing so well as Soviets I think you should get T2 as soon as possible, spend your manpower on strelky and other T2 units, and spend your munitions and fuel at the armoury buffing your T2 units. Maybe get molotovs.

The main trouble with a PG blob is that you don't want to feed it vet. So I think you should try to let them come to you and ambush them with mines and your units. Snipers, spotter artillery, command squad artillery, DP-28s (remember the stand your ground ability), molotovs, mortars. They're all pretty good.

You should also have some doctrinal abilities at this point. Partisan traps, the propaganda doctrine abilites, a KV-2. Ingenery can build wire, sandbags, MG emplacements. It depends on how good your opponent is, what units he has, and the idea is not to try to use all of these but pick the best ones from the pile. The idea though is to defend the territory you need to maintain a steady flow of units, tech, abilities and whatever, and get one really good ambush. Hopefully you totally own his blob and he spends so much manpower and time reinforcing that you can cut him off and form a new line.

I'm talking defensive play here but if he has a significant blob then it's into mid-game already, so I don't mean that you shouldn't play offensively at the start if you can. The main thing to watch out for when playing defensively is artillery. Hopefully if he spent so much manpower on PGs he won't have a large variety of units. If he has a mortar halftrack or a hummel or stukas then you may have to change your tactics, or hunt the mortar halftracks if they're not supported.

None of this is proven I'm just thinking aloud.

P.S. The last time I checked T-90s are perfectly able to kill PE light vehicles.

i played with t-90s.tried it against ai and even human players. it doesn't damage pe vehicles.is it a bug?

your first question was asking how to counter panzer grens. if you want to  take on ac's, i think that the t-70 is better vs light vehicles.

Besides doctrinal Falls with FG42, Panzer Elite only has PGrens with MP44 as special anti-infantry squad. They shall always beat sturmovies in normal circumstances.
