Great, embarassing, and funny moments in Cod 5

I know not many people play world at war. I still do. But any great moments (good and bad)?
I have a few.
1. I was playing on Roundhouse tdm and with my Springfield bolt action rifle (without attachments) and Tt-33, molotov and signal flares as grenades, had bomb squad, stopping power, and extreme conditioning, and got a 30 to 7 kill to death score.
2. I remember playing at outskirts. I had an M1 Garand and I was firing at an enemy and ran out of ammo, and thus enemies can hear a pinging sound. I got killed. In the killcam, someone with a PPSH 41 was waiting for me to run out of ammo, and blasted the crap out of me. What a jerk, knowing he or she could fire at me.

i did use flamethrowers. but when you use them, take it out as soon as you spawn, you do some actions with it before being able to fire it

There's a cycle among weapons in the Call of Duty series, in nearly any game. What I mean is that some weapons tend to be direct counters to some others. For example, closing in with Submachine Guns and getting friendly will do well against Light Machine Guns and does well to eliminate their extremely low damage drop for range. Likewise, a common counter for Submachine Guns is to keep them at a medium range with Battle/Bolt/Assualt Rifles which will typically keep those "Friendly" SMG guys away from you. Rifles tend to keep the SMGs at range because of their steady damage drop and pretty decent/low recoil at such ranges, but they can also engage the SMGs at a relatively short range as well. LMGs aren't good with this such engagement because they impede movement and thus can't turn to possibly engage flanking SMGs.

Well that doesn't always apply because there are those "special" weapons in each category, FG42 being more of an assault rifle, the StG 44 being the Jack of All Trades, the MP40 being that whored to hell SMG that does almost everything, only thing that gun is missing is a Scope, and the PTRS-41, well I won't go into that thing.

true. but PTRS isn't really useful to me. it's only good for a anti tank class. Tanks are not as hard to kill as they seem. If you have no at means, just learn how to evade them

Why are we talking about tanks. Anyway the PTRS sucks against tanks, sure it just more damage than all the other things, but an SMG with Satchels, Extreme Conditioning, and if you want to be a real arse Juggernaut, then sneak up to the tank and plant a Satchel under the tanks path and blow it up.

YES. I've always been a big fan of COD 5. Before the hackers that is...

The second I reached level 50 I fell in love with the flamethrower. I mean, that thing is awesome.
Pretty good range, kills after 2 seconds of exposure. The biggest problem I had with it though is getting close enough. But then again, that's why I always carried a rifle and a submachine gun as backup.

Yea, hackers ruined it. I must of reported 50 of them..... a day.....

M14 Grand scope= super uber op sniper. Close range, 1-2 shots, quick reload, lots of ammo.

I also remember this one time, I was driving a heavily damaged tank, and I saw a bazooka coming right at me. I spammed the X button in a desperate effort to get out, and the strangest thing happened.
The bazooka hit the tank, the tank exploded with me still inside, but I didn't die. I got stuck inside a destroyed tank.
I couldn't move or fire, but I could still rotate the turrent.

Best glitch ever.

Yeah, M1 Garand is surprisingly good without scope. The only downside is enemies that know what the loud sound the M1 Garand makes means. What I like about this gun is this gun doesn't need stopping power in core.

I don't know how that glitch works. But I remember seeing a tank heavily damaged, so I got out my MG42 and I managed to kill a tank using it. But about hackers, there are actually hackers? I play world at war still, and I rarely come across hackers.

I play WaW on the xbox, and you can't join a server and not see someone spamming a link to their website. That means they hacked the WaW multiplayer to have the system display that text, and it most likely means that they gave themselves god mode as well.


Also, before that whole commotion I frequently experienced a more subtle form of multiplayer hacking. Take semiautomatic rifles and pistols. They fire as fast as you pull the trigger right?

Well, I always get killed by someone firing a semiautomatic rifle/pistol like a machine gun. I've tried, and pulling the trigger that fast is humanly impossible. They must have a modified controller that simulates rapid trigger presses.
