Anyone else try it? I preordered and now I'm glad I did even in it current state.

I'm about to play it right now . Level 22 at the moment. Awesome game.

Playing it and... Needs a lot of improvment...

Bad things:

-Mobile Spawnpoint can be placed after a base has been destroyed and then be used to base rape...
-Assault rifles have no bullet drop and are more accurate than Sniper rifles.
-Grenades make a big bang but not that much damage.
-Animations are buggy sometimes.
-Rocketlauncher are too weak.
-The reflection of a 12x Sniper Scope even reveals a sniper lying in the Subway inside a shadow?
-Sometimes after you got revived you can't stand up nor suicide.
-Laserpointers ALWAYS shine into your eyes if someone is aiming at you.
-You can't join a squad of your choice you are getting autoassigned.
-If you press ESC when you die and then respawn the whole screen remains at the color of the background blue.
-The beta map needs a lot of improvment sometimes you join in the open and you get immedatily shot but someone also there are rooms in the city without furniture.
-Joining through the browser bugs a lot.

Nice things:

-You can turn off tactical lights & laserpointers by pressing "T"
-There are squadleaders again
-Bipods
-3 weapon modifications at a time!
-A lot of different scopes (ironsight, Reddot scope, Hologram scope, 1x Nightvision scope, 4x scope, 7x scope, 8x scope, 12x scope)
-Ultra graphical settings <<<< AWESOME

Sure there are more things but I've forgotten a lot.

Can you still blow up buildings and drive lot of vehicles? If the game has those 2 things, I'll get it.

Of course, but not in the beta where there is only 1 infantry only map. It wouldn't be a proper battlefield game without those things.

It's beta for a reason. It's really not that bad though.

I hate to say this but what does beta mean ?

Beta is a stage in video game developement. Games in the design stage are pre-alpha. When you get working models and things actually coded into a game it is alpha. When it somewhat resembles the finished design it's beta, but still has loads of changes to be made and MILLIONs of bugs to fix. Then it is finally released.

Beta is the main testing phase. So for example, the OH is currently in an alpha phase, still getting everything coded in and animated etc. When it is passed to the balance team, it will be in a beta state where we will help fix bugs and do the main initial balancing. Then the beta will extend to donors and select other community members for further testing.

So after beta there are no tags ? I guess that makes sense now why you guys said you'll need to test Ostheer beta . I thought beta was like a 1.0 version
