Dont you mean that the one in COD is almost identical to the real deal and not vice versa?  ;)

I LUV COD's work. Feels historical, pretty much.
I'm so sad about the weapon system in COD5 though :(
Americans with PPSH, what the fuck?
You know, there are many people in the country today who, through no fault of their own, are sane. Some of them were born sane. Some of them became sane later in their lives. It is up to people like you and me who are out of our tiny little minds to try and help these people overcome their sanity

I'm working on a Stalingrad map. Its got petlov's house, hill 102, the tractor factory and the vulga river.

I have a few ideas to make sure the hill 102 is fiercely sought by the axis, but I'm trying to make it so if they keep attention to the petlov house/downtown area they can really hurt the soviets.

Downtown has so much rubble that it is really only viable for infantry battles (everything I've read indicates that is what it was like).

I'll give the axis a low fuel point by their base, but the only other significant fuel resource point will be on top of hill 102 so that should really encourage them to attack it and encourage the russians to make sure the germans don't get it. I'll make sure there is lots of artillery to make it hard for each side to hold.

Downtown will be designed with lots of small manpower and ammo points so the russians will want it. I will make it fairly easy for the germans to cut off the supply to these areas so they will try to keep the pressure on the russians and not focus everything on hill 102.

I can normally make a pretty good first pass at a map, but I'm not great at the details. I'll probably try to pass it to somebody else once I get the general "feel" of the map correct.

The only other map I designed was Eagle's Nest on filefront. Another guy helped me with the details on that.

Hey everybody, I just finished my 1st pass and my edits for the Stalingrad map. Does anybody have any interest in taking it over from here? If so I can give you the .sgb file.

You can see pictures here:

I'm not sure why, but any soviet units I placed as objects show up as a yellow box in the game (they say Missing LUA). Maybe these just wont work? Also I tried to delete some soviet artillery pieces that I placed, but their crews are still on the map and I cannot remove them. Anybody have any ideas on what that is all about?

Hi,

I assume that you are testing it with EF mod .

There are some unused units like the Russian mariens , have you by any chance used them ,They will show up in the world builder but not ingame .

Also, make sure you're using the latest patch (1.04). Some data was corrupted in 1.02-1.03.
