Back on topic...

My idea for a berlin map was always a 4v4 but much more radical. It would consist of one team's spawns in the direct center of the map (Axis) and each of the allies in a corner. This promotes an Annihilate sort of gameplay but promotes lots of different options into gameplay, sort of like a "Last Defense" thing.

Of course it'd be a pain in the ass to balance, if you can even call it balance :)

I would like a map where the points are related to a place or object. Like one VP is in the Reichstag, the other one at the Brandenburg gate (Winning the game for holding strategic important places like these buildings)

Fuel points have fuel barrels nearby (high fuel has many barrels, low fuel has less barrels). Munition points nearby trenches (where ammunition is common) and so on ...

Always looks strange when a high fuel point is in the middle of nowhere

There are quite a few maps with ammo crates and fuel barrels around the relevant points.

yes but not evry point on the map. Montargis region has fuel barrels in the middle to supply a whole army but only 2 x low fuel

!!!! My comp was only 500$ and it is great. It can play CoH, Hearts of Iron, And the game "Spore" all at the same time without it lagging. How the heck do you pay 1000's of dollars for a computer!
The Russians think there sooo tough, wait till the Ostheer comes...

My Computer has cost me about £900, but that's including gradually upgrading over the years; new monitor, new gfx card, all that shite. I can play pretty much anything on highest settings with minimal lag... except Eastern Front since CoH wasn't built for heavy modding; vCoH runs fine. I remember back in my Sim City 4 modding days, if you had +500mb of mods, you had to prepare for the game CTDing ALOT since the game wasn't built for heavy modding either, (despite Maxis releasing a bunch of mod tools for it).

Well i guess you guys just have better and/or cheaper computers over in America and Scotland. :( I have read in PCPowerPlay about processors being grossly marked up by the Australian suppliers... >:(

Yes i do. No matter my specs, i always struggle to run this game. Hell, Crysis runs far smoother than Company Of Heroes!

Remember to avoid ultra settings :). I'm in process of updating my rig as well, btw.

Ultra settings in which game? With all the setting at max (besides A-A, which is off), Crysis runs far better than Company Of Heroes. Well at least it did, before my computer decided to stop running just about any game...
