Bitzkrieg mod - is it worth it?

This is the first COH mod that i have tried and i was wondering about trying out the blitzkrieg mod.

My internet is not the best and as such i don't want to waste 5+ hours waiting for a download.

So my question is, Is Blitzkrieg mod worth it? pros and cons and the such.

So let me guess you are also an offline player for CoH? Well we are on the same boat, ok Blitzkrieg mod is good. For some people say Blitzkrieg mod is the best among all. It got many new things like manual fire ( If not mistaken ) You should try, is not bad. Anyway if not mistaken somebody already post this topic something about this if not mistaken....

You should try , its worth it.

BK is horribly unbalanced (Axis bias) and therefore I'd only recommend it if you are, as ImperialKaskins said, a compstomper. It's fun though to have such a wide selection of new units and the realistic damage system is also nice (well, if you play as Axis.. xD).
Currently, BK is not compatible with 2.602, there is a hotfix on BKs side that you can download to fix this issue. Also a new BK patch is WIP.

They changed most weapon sounds (more realistic), veterancy (every faction gains it nearly the same way through combat now), squad sizes (around 6 members for an average squad), camera height (raised), doctrines (expandet) and teching system.

So they kept the standard base system, with the same maps, or?

They made new maps too... very good maps I think... I play BK mod with my brazilian friends here... and we play Normandy 1944 and Eastern Front as well  .

unfortunately the Axis team are the best in game... I play with Panzer Elite and alwas I call my JagdTiger my team Win the map... It's unbelievable how many enemy shots that thing can support...

Is very funny but.... as MaxiKing6 spoke "is horribly unbalanced"

I don't know what it is with Company Of Heroes and all this imbalance. Even the dedicated modders can't seem to get it right...

There is a good thing about the BKmod... the improved the Panzer 4 (in vanilla the Panzer 4 sucks hahahha)... now we can call him a "Tank" =D... of course, that's my opinion and of 2 of my friendas here...

...What's wrong with the standard Panzer IV? It's a good, well-rounded tank...

Well... in my memories the Panzer 4 could not stand agains a little Sherman and win... you see, when you put that 76mm gun on sherman say "good bye" to you Pazer 4 (my opinion of course and it pass 2 years since my last battle on vanilla... I don't know how Vanilla is right now...)

Get vet 3 (the armor skirts) and you will fair much better.

Axis are OP? Don't laugh me. If i can beat them as CW or USA ( in PvsP) that's mean they are OP? And that's why i am mostly plaing PvsP as allies. But this is right, they have the best tanks and infantry, but if you have arty or airstrikes, these tanks are not problem. In other words, you just need know how to play allies to beat axis, similarly is in EF, if you know how to play as WH or PE, soviets are not then OP.

But, Company of Heroes was not designed to be realistic game, so i don't like in 100% mods with realistic damage system. I am glad that EF is not another mod with other system damage .

It depends on you whether you want this mod, i recommend this mod. You wrote that you have bad internet, so better for you is download this mod by torrent, small risk that your download will crash. But the final choice is yours.
