Forgotten Hope 2
« on: July 15, 2011, 07:56:40 PM »
Hey folks,
I'm a huge fan of the Forgotten Hope series, a WW2 modification for Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield 2. Today, the 2.4 update will be released (ETA 5mins) and I'd like to know if there are more FH/FH2 players out here.
The website is !currently struggeling to handle the massive numbes of visitors, so the normal website isn't visible. You can take a look at in in a few days I think.
Here's a link:

Feel free to discuss here! :D

Only if I still had BF2. Think I played it so much back in the day I broke the disk :-X

I'd be temped to buy BF2 from steam if FH2 is compatible with it...?

Please note! When launching 2.4 for the first time, you will need to "retrieve account" or, if you wish, create a new one. This is due to changes we've made to ensure less problems with shaders and make Forgotten Hope 2 compatible with Steam.

I guess it is then ;D

Well, I got BF2, but it's going to take a few hours to torrent FH since my ISP caps the internet at 250kb/s when I download too much in a day >:(

Got it, played it, loved it.

The battles are tight and intense on 64+ servers, there's artillery landing absolutely everywhere on the front line. I've turned my volume very high to get the full force of the sounds... I swear I was almost deafened when somebody started firing an MG42 behind me.

Anyway, I'll definitely be playing more later today. :P

Wow, that's a bunch of awesomeness! I really eager to see how FH2 developes on the Eastern Front. Didn't see the PPSH-43 until now, looks sweet! Great work as usual.  :)

First of all you need an unpirated copy of BF2. Install it and patch it to version 1.5. The next step is downloading Forgotten Hope 2.4 from here:

http://forgottenhope.warumdarum.de/fh2_downloads.php [nofollow]

Take the Full Download. You have to download 3 parts helpfully labeled Part1-3. Install them in order. If BF2 is installed properly, you can just click next through all of it.
