The House will never pass this. There would be too much of an uproar and this would invade constitutional rights. While copyright laws should deserve some type of enforcement to some extents there is no reason to limit uploaded self-created, edited or other content with usage of other user's work.

The way I see it is that if the artist or creator of used material didn't want it used by other people then they shouldn't have published it in the first place.

Say good-bye to any EF videos with non-original made music if this gets passed...

This will also affect a large part of youtube. It limits things from uploaded video game montages to simple "How to" videos using an off-source music piece.

The ones whom should REALLY be punished is the people whom use(d) sites like Limewire, Frostwire, Napster, etc for serious copyright infringement. Some people make shit loads of money by looking up music on programs like stated, matching it with other musical pieces of the same album, putting album covers on a disk case and selling it for large profit. THAT'S not cool.

The issue will not be resolved until the Chinese are able to acknowledge and respect individual intellectual and property rights. Its not a part of their cultural view and hasn't been for thousands of years. Don't worry though the HoR is incapable of passing any legislation or tying the laces on their loafers for that matter.

No way Jose. Corruption in USSR, Modern Russia, China and the Capitalist world is endemic. Communism and Capitalism are both dinosaurs. A new evolution of competitve ideologies is necessary. The cynic in me says that won't work either. Down with the corporations, ^^ the people!

I think this mod would just be put in the 'Company Of Heroes' category. That is, even if it's just showing the mod (Say, Soviets versus Ostheer on an Eastern Front map), it's still the same base game it's built on, so i think it would still count...

The ONLY flaw in this law is that there is a lack of enforcement for things like this as there have been in the past. Police would rather be ticketing people for speeding  or blowing stop signs rather than solving murders or targeting copyright infringement
