Are there any EF holdout/survival type maps?

My roommate and I are big fans of joint ops (and EF, of course!) and doing the maps like Omaha Beach and Sea lion, and other maps that they offer. We'd love to defend against some krauts as the Soviets.

I have some experience in changing the game files around, but little in mapping. I was hoping to start small, say... just changing the 1p hold out maps and hopefully the Operation Sea Lion multiplayer map. I would think that defending as Russians would be easier than changing the scripts to have Russian attackers.

Has anyone done something like this? If not, is it possible to even do?

there's already a mission in EF. It's called Red Tide/Blitzkreig Challenge. You just have to find it in skirmish game.

That one is not bad but I prefer the style of the joint-ops maps.
