I just installed the patch and the launcher is stopped working can anybody help me with this?

It show the massage "the ... is stopped working" every time I tried.

p.s. reinstalling the game and restarting the window is not working

now you must be agile now. If you have autoupadting on, you must quickly turn it off in settings tab. Then off you go.

Easier fix, to be honest, go to your company of heroes directory. There find "EF_Launcher_Config.ini", open it with wordpad, replace Auto_Update=True with Auto_Update=False

 Uninstalled 1.31 (Got 1.40 full)
 Installed fresh. Initial menu crashes right off the bat?
 Try it twice more.
 Uninstall 1.40 full.
 Reinstall 1.40 full.
 Same thing.
 Redownloaded 1.40
 Same thing.
 Reinstalled 1.31
 Installed 1.31-1.40
 Same thing.
 
 ... :p
 
  Meh. Yes, edit the stupid ini file is easier ;)

 (God, I must really want to play this game, don't I?)

 : Haven't played yet, but... is SU76 supposed to be
 THAT insanely expensive? (Same cost as Sherman 76 LL)
 But... quite a downgrade?

SU-76 IMO is better than the LL sherman. It's a much more useful tank destroyer rather than a not-so-great at anything tank.

+1 its a superior tank destroyer, in all regards. It's not a main battle tank

+1 SU-76 is an excellent addition to the game imo.  Though I'm going to have to learn how to keep them alive.  Not doing so well at that yet  ;D .
Thanks again guys.  This is like getting v1.0 all over again...so much good stuff to try, learn and know !

Thanks for the advise, I can run the game now.

Still the game said something like some piece of patch is required to play online, does this mean there is another patch beside the 1.40 one ?

On May 26, I tried to play three games with a friend of mine and every time the game crashed. The next day, we tried to play again but I couldnt even launch the game. Every time I clicked on the launcher, a message would pop up saying "Eastern Front Launcher has stopped working"

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I noticed some other people have also been having problems with the game crashing, but it seems like they can at least launch the game. I tried reinstalling the mod, version 1.4.0.0. But the same error kept occurring.
