New film
« on: May 11, 2011, 09:21:18 PM »
Damn you guys. This film is great.

In video we can see Germans, is it ostheer? Because for me, this squad looks like landser - 5 soldiers + feldwebel but they are using gewehr 43 and mp40 so i guess no.

Anyway i'm looking forward to see more videos >:D.

Hahahah poor Ivan, running into a tree like that, while on fire.

How did they get the MG on the truck, or any of the special animations for that matter.

Thread cleaned up.

War is war...shit happens...shit like this and of course far worse did happen and if you're offended by an game animation you have issues. I can't imagine what issues you'd have watching a war film where its actually realistic looking....it's like taking MW2/WaW or medal of honour seriously and think there is anything more to them than a shoot'em up game lol

All that is of course irrelevant.
This is an excellent cool piece of animation with quality to rival relic's cut scenes. Great cinematography and props to the guy!

Please avoid trying to give 'morality lessons' to each other...it is a GAME. That's a simple concept to understand. Next time we see people derailing simple threads and turning them into crazy flame wars about history and morality, we'll give out Warnings.

if you fail to understand how you should behave after that, we'll start handing out bans.

So keep it nice, friendly, simple...keep it real!

Cheers

Wait what? I was just wondering how he got those animations in the game in the first place.

WorldBuilder. ;)
Correct. There is something called the NIS tool (Non Interactive Sequence) where you can create own movies with own animations on own maps. It's pretty difficult to understand and to handle.

Bundled nade was a waste of munitions :P.

Pretty well done movie. Should get this guy to do your cinematics when you move on to campaigns eventually.

Yeah if you could find someone willing to make one, these would be a great way of advertising the next patch. Or say for when the Ost get their release...

No idea how to work the NIS, but I assume it would have been easy enough to place down a Vickers on the ZiS using world builder.

It's really easy. It's just the same as to work with the worldbuilder. The controls are the same you can change the height of objects easily.
