If you're talking about Ostheer, they will speak german.

If you're talking about Wehr and PE, they won't be changed.

Personally I'm not a big fan of the soviets speaking in russian and the ostheer in german. I understand that it's difficult to make speech and such, but I'd kinda like to know which squad is taking heavy fire and which is capping a point. That's just my take on it.

I agree. I have neurological problems in my hands too many data entry errors. Being able to cue on sound  is most  helpful.

I think the sound cues suggest another issue. Does anybody know if the Devteam is considering ergonomic design issues in this mod?

1. Creating Gui's That make it easier for disabled gamers to play the game; (read as make EF more accessible to a larger market), Believe me when I say that disabled folk have a lot of time to play games.

2. Making it easier to Play the game from a non-disabled  players  point of view wouldn't make it easier to play p v p now would it? I for one would much rather concentrate on a fire fight, than have to micromanage production and capping at the same time.

3. If EFs version of CoH is quicker to play than the original, won't there be more opponents on-line? (again increasing market share).

4. To repeat: Does anybody know if the Devteam is considering ergonomic design issues in this mod?

That sure would be nice, if they did.
Haven't heard a word about it however.
Guess, it's one of those "we won't change vanilla" things. You know, it's almost like the "N" word around here.
While, considering balance issues, it appears to be completely adequate, nonetheless it is absolutely nonessential in terms of creating some voluntarily pick-able system of controls.
I have asked, weather there might be some SC2 kind of GRID introduced here, and received a strictly "NO" response.  :'(
I'm not disabled though. But still, I think, this world is for everyone.

Oh, I wasn't saying I'm disabled (Except for Blue Purple colorblindness, that really messes me up sometimes, thank god for turning colors off), And enabling features for disabled players would be excellent, I was making a point that my eyes dart back and forth across the screen so much that I rely on sounds to tell me "I'm Taking fire!" because I don't have time to look at the left, yea, I can hit spacebar, but that takes me away from what I was doing.

Though Tpcoughlin's and IJoe's ideas are brilliant.

I am disabled, have been since i was a kid. My problem is data entry. there is a big difference  between hot keying a V or a B  or an N. You have to play the cards your dealt though. IJoe, I take your refering to a 3 x 4 GUI (graphic User Interface) when you say grid; but what's an SC?

Well, I say StarCraftII is pretty. What else matters?
Besides, it's not all that mindless, as our respected comrade states. It is a strategy indeed, when decent players are clashing with each other. It involves a great deal of tactics and micro-control as well.
GRID is when all hotkey commands are issued with keys, that visually correspond with their position on the screen and in the orders box. So you end up having up to 15 tightly grouped keys for potentially infinite amount of situational commands.

Ah yes perhaps a paper/ plastic template to place over your keyboard; right? Perhaps the 2d artists could come up with this for inclusion in a retail version of EF. If such a thing is contemplated.

Can anyone send be a link  regarding improving one's micro skills?

I have no idea why you would want some keyboard overlay. ???

The best suggestions i have for improving your micro is to practice (for speed), and study the way units work with/against each other (for snap decisions). And watching recorded games of pros is good, too.
