1.A British slit trench should ONLY benefit the USER not the ENEMY.
2.Always face the slit trench to the enemy HQ.
3.NEVER put a RECON tommy in a trench.

Ex.Infront of a building so the enemy occupying the slit trench can only fire the direction where his own troops are coming from, making the trench useless except for you and your allies.

Rifle grenades are sh*t when they are alone. They are you INSURANCE when an MG42 pops up.Put them behind obstacles so they dont get fired back while the enemy is experiencing hell.

Hope this helps.

Or fire some smoke shells to get closer. Riflenades, PIATs and flamethrowers arent effected by smoke.

Thats pretty uber. Ha ha ha, though I still hate the fact its soooooo hard to get rid of enemies in a slit trench :(

Still, I find ways around it (just delete the trench if it is about to be overrun)

Now I'm confused. Aren't Piats a DF weapon that should suffer the smoke penalties?

Piats, like shreks and tank cannons, are DF weapons so are still affected by smoke for accuracy rolls. However, they still have a scatter component and can hit even after a rolled miss so they're stilly pretty good at firing through smoke.
If you get into an argument with me, you're wrong.

I disagree with tank cannons. I never seen them hit anything though smoke.
The Russians think there sooo tough, wait till the Ostheer comes...

They have relatively small blast radii compared to riflenades for instance. If you fire at a British emplacement for example, you are very likely to hit, even if you roll a miss, because the target hitbox is so large and your scatter won't matter. Same thing with shreks. This is why the shrek/flamer/smoke combo works brilliantly against Brits.

Tank cannons and AT guns can still hit enemy tanks through smoke reliably enough. They have serious difficulties hitting infantry though.
