Avatar/name origins
« on: March 13, 2011, 04:35:06 PM »
I noticed that many people here have very interesting avatars and usernames, so i was naturally wondering about their origins.

I got my avatar from the first disk of my Company Of Heroes collectors edition, and my nickname is simply the most apt word i could think of.

Anybody else?

I originally wanted my name to be blackknight or something (i was like ~12) however at that time I did understand the concept of racism thus avoided it and went with Raider cept was taken on XBL so went with 217 and I stick with that now even if just Raider isnt taken.

Avatar is hypocritical because I dont actually like Fallout at all... just the Brotherhood :P

Thankyou for listening (/ reading whatever) to my life story :D

I won't ever forget it. Maybe you could be the mascot of these forums. Because you're Mr. Spam and honestly - you deserve it  ;)

For my name: My surname is Maxi(milian) and one of my little sisters used to call me "MaxiKing" because of a German product made out of chocolate and milk and nuts that was named like this.. So I took the name "MaxiKing" in various games, and if there was already someone with this very common username, I just added my favourite number, the 6.

My avatar - A part of a screen that I made when first playing with RSP6 (Realistic skin pack) and EF. It was on Prochorovka and the Volksgrenadier, that is displayed, is actually not mine, but the one of a friend. It was taken on the smaller, right stripe of the battlefield in front of the windmill.

My signature displays the same squad of Volks just a moment later chasing the command squad of one of the AI players. Just added my name and Some dirt effects usind PS

Cephalos - a funny fish-like monster from Monster Hunter PS and PSP series.
My avatar is simply mirror of Ragnar Blackmane's Great Company sign - and this comes from Warhammer 40000 , where Blackmane's company is one of many factions available for gameplay.

... but shhhhh! you don't know it, right?

Bleh, long story.

Had this name since about 2002? I'm a massive fan of GTA, owned all of them apart from GTA London which I tried and was awful. Round about the release of GTA3 my mates at highschool, during an English class, decided to give themselves Mexican names (El Pedro Diablo, El Cheecho Diablo and El Burro Diablo). Knew very little Spanish, apart from 'Burro' which I obviously picked up from the GTA character 'El Burro' which I also used as a nick for a while, although it seemed retarded on non-gta sites so I changed it to my full highschool nick 'El Burro Diablo' eventually narrowing it down to just 'BurroDiablo' for convenience and to eliminate some association with GTA. I also like the idea of a 'Donkey Devil', evil Donkey for a logo or avatar, but I still haven't got around to designing one yet ;D

Avatar is Serj Tankian from System of a Down. I scanned this image in 2005 before they released a new album because his face made me lol hard. Haven't really been able to find a more appropriate image since, I use this Avatar for pretty much every forum i'm signed up to (except Moddb which is the standard EF Dev avatar and RelicNews since you can only upload your own Avatar if your a Senior Member or some crap like that)

Heh, well my nick is a shortcut of my name - Dzierżanowski that is Dzierżan. PL means Poland and "The" means nothing :P.

My avatar is a normal water. Why water, dunno. I have not better ideas for avatar.

when i signed up on this forum i din´t knew which name to choose. So killer came into my mind, but it was too confronting. So i changed it to killar.

As picture i wanted a soviet panda (i knew there was a picture with a panda with a soviet had). But "soviet panda" is already a DJ and a person who is gay so i did´nt want the connection.

After long search of different animals with soviet... i found my actual avatar almighty Meow, who is Wisdom and greatness in one person.  ;D

also i like cats, so i decided to keep it.

My nick in other games is "generalhoth" the great tank commander. My friend always calls me generalhoden (hoden means balls)  :P
But he looses mostly so its ok  ;D
