Troubles with Steam
« on: March 10, 2011, 10:04:34 PM »
I installed the mod at..

Program Files>Steam>steamapps>commom>company of heroes

Went to the Settings and went into all of that and selected Eastern front, but when I hit play it Just Tells me it's up to date.

I'm kinda lost

Sorry just my buds who play this are all rocking out this mod and I can't figure it out.

Hit the 'print screen' key, go into Paint, paste, save, attach to your forum post.

...

Well, a couple of observations:

  • You don't have CoH installed, it would never run.
  • You installed EF in the wrong folder, it should be "Program Files>Steam>steamapps>commom>company of heroes" but you installed EF over "Program Files>Steam>steamapps>commom>company of heroes>Eastern Front"

Alright I fixed all that but now when I load the game up and try to place as the Soviet's when I start it's like Frozen? I can't do anything, part of the minimap is black where I am and I can't train any soldiers.

scarlog.####.####.txt

Looks like you didn't update EF. You can install manually the updates, check this topic for that.

Strange since the Updater did do that though, but thanks I'll give it a try.

Check if the path in the installer is the correct one.

Not sure how to do that...So with these patches are they auto-install or do I just extract them to the EF Folder?

LOL, when prompted to select the install path.

They are stored in EF Updates folder i think.

You confused me when I just told you I did that already in other words?
I'll just do the manual patching.. Do I just extract what I DL into the EF folder and such or is it auto?
