Me likes the first one and the last one .
Splat tool (you can recognise it by looking for "SPLT" in the toolbar)> Craters and then just select the splat you like to place in the list (there are different types of craters, one or more for each terrain marterial, for example dirt), then just place it by right clicking on the spot where you'd like it to be. You can rotate and scale it and also change its opacity. That should be enough for the moment

You mean hightmap settings? First you set LMB (Left mouse button) mode to "set value". Then you set the setting "feather" to 100, that makes the crater look more realistic. Then you set the hight to a value ca. 0,5m above the terrain you will place your crater on. Brush size should be 8 here. One short click on the terrain should create a small, smooth hill. Then you change the settings to following values: brush size 5, feather 100 and hight 1 or 1,5m beneath your default terrain hight (at the spot where the little hill is now) The last step is that you click one time with those settings in the middle of your little hill. Now you can, if you haven't done it before, place a crater SPLAT.
