Unit Icons
« on: November 04, 2010, 08:55:33 PM »
Now, I can make the stats and have my graphs look all pretty, I can make a nice shiney concept. But I couldn't make Corsix work if you payed me and had Chuck Norris stand over me, knuckles cracking. I have no idea how; is there any way to edit the Unit Icons? E.G. seperate the photo/headshot of the vehicle/infantry from its white denotation symbol? Example; Swap out the Grenadier's '\/' for the correct '\v/' that was accidentaly assigned to Volks. Thanks in advance!  ;D 8)

 Yea.
I was seriously wondering about that...

 It's different for COH_Blitzkrieg.
So, it can obviously be done.
(But then you won't be able to play EF with others) ;)

 But the question is...
Which is the correct icon. And did Reliq fuck up on this??
 *GASP!*
You know, there are many people in the country today who, through no fault of their own, are sane. Some of them were born sane. Some of them became sane later in their lives. It is up to people like you and me who are out of our tiny little minds to try and help these people overcome their sanity

Imo Volksgrenadier icon(\V/) is incorrect, is the grenadier icon in RL and vice versa.

Anyway you're right.. I can imagine posts like "Where the fuck are my Volks?"

Just interesting to know that it's the other way round.

\/ is 'Shutze' or Private, and \v/ is 'Unteroffizier' or 'Under-Officer'; Corporal. As Grenadiers are more advanced and tough, and Volksgrenadiers were historically poor fighters (boys and old men :3), it figures that Grenadiers would have the higher rank of the two--think the Americans; Riflemen have the US' Private ensignia as their symbol, whilst their closest counterparts, Rangers, have the US' Corporal ensignia. /endnerdgasm.
