The Schwerer-Gustav 800mm could be an off-map arty! In real life the Morser Karl is a self-propelled 600mm mortar...Good suggestion eh? :D

It is a good idea, problem is that the team haven't really started on the ostheer yet, but I reckon that it may be included....

I think railwaygun Gustav ( or Dora, because Gustav wasent ready in 1942 ;-) ) and mortar Karl wouldnt be an good ability for the Ostfront Heer, because this guns were just used to attack and conquer the fortress of Sewastopol. After this job, both gun models should also be used to attack Leningrad, but the offensive of russian troups made it unpossible to use them against the town.
I would prefere other names for off-map artillery like 210mm Mörser 18 battery-fire.

MfG Rommel
May the force be with you.

Sry, but at the moment there are no plans for off map artillery of the scale, mostly due to balance. The Gustav's 800mm rounds were twice the height of a T-34 tank.

The High Explosive shells left a 10 m wide crater, 10 m deep, this would most likely be a little bit too much over kill.

The only possibility i could ever see is the model (possibly firing) being used in a single player campaign, with the objective to either protect it, or destroy it. No plans as of yet, and a campaign is our last objective.

I though the 800mm shell is weaker than a V1 rocket?(or not!? :o) maybe a 15min/shell would nicely balance it ? Or we could use Krupp K5 instead, smaller shell 8)
I understands there's only so much a small team can do, but railway guns are kinda under appreciated in ww2 games. I mean it could use to swap out totaly useless wehr artillery doctrine like firestorm ;D.

Oh and keep up the goodwork guys :)! looking forward to blast commies with railway artillery!(or firestorm lol)
