Personally i think the soviets are a fairly well balanced force, they hold their own well vs the wehr and p.e
when the 'Strawman' bug has been lifted and russians can steal mg's mortars nebelwerfers etc, will this not throw the balance out a bit?
russians will be able to use these weapons with great effectiveness and with stolen mg42's  the fact they will now be able to supress will be devastating.
so i guess im asking how this will be adressed,
will conscripts be able to steal? (at 17pts for a conscript and 340 for a nebelwerfer that is a crazy steal)
Given that conscipts are very poor troops will their lack of skill be realised in a reduced effectiveness of stolen weapons?

im just seeing the nightmare scenario of yank + russ on the field and loads of american supply drops making a really well equipped russian army. for Very cheap.
still i hope the bug does get fixed and any upcoming balance issues are adressed

also cant wait for the ostheer.

Yeah as Paciat said its up to Relic to fix that "Strawman" bug, and Relic obviously dosent give a **** about Company Of heroes, so it will probaly never be fixed.

I agree with you, seems that any possible change to CoH is fading away... Sometimes I go to their "new official forums" and just see that the situation is becoming worse for CoH:O : bad balance persist - they don't even try to fix it; cheaters, are rampant since CoH, now that CoH:O involves real cash the users realize that this is affecting their pockets as well... it's sad how the people go to CoH:O besides being worse than CoH in all aspects(besides I think the german tutorial is OK).

I don't know if that would help... I think they use the policy "Turn a deaf ear to foolish comments"... of course it isn't foolish for us.

I don't think I'll buy ever a game from THQ, the "support" from them ("THQ/Relic") probably is sold separately. No one from them cares of CoH community from a long time ago.

For them we don't represent anything but a bunch of people complaining for something they'll never care to find out; we just represent a group that refuses let die CoH, they probably classified CoH as decadent game, we already spent money, we are useless now for they.

And now they want to catch all the people that don't buy it or just pirate it to play their free version. I was reading on CoH:O forum about some users that purchased stuff in their "online store", like 10~20 bucks, you can buy at least a single copy of any CoH game with that!!

I'm not saying where they should spent the money but CoH:O doesn't worth it.

The EF devs allready sent Relic a complete list of what they need to fix. So it not like its going to take forever, heck the EF devs even explained how to fix some of the bugs to relic. The problem is not that it would take Relic too much time to make that patch imo, the problem is Relics careless lazy attitude.
But theres nothing we can do, and sending Relic insulting coments wont do any good.

Looks like in 10 years time all games will be like WOW or COH:O, where you HAVE to pay money for playing. It's somehow clever move ( from THQ point of view) which will force people to pay all the time, so the money could flow. In this case they will have regular way to gain money. That's how big companies do in our times... we can't change that, because there is not enought people who will say STOP! to them.

I agree to this.  I think they've moved on to CoH Online (which, in my humble opinion, is the new shit feed for the new generation of shit-brain FPS players btw)

Personally I never liked the fake / fantasy / immature Star Wars bullshit in the other Relic games, so CoH will probably be the only Relic game I will ever buy.

As for where the new generation of games are going, I also think that it is becoming more pay-to-play.  No more great mind-using games like Warcraft 3 / Company of Heroes types...instead we get a new fucking genre of Dota type games where all the mindless players get to play "hero".  No more strategy is needed, just press the right skill for your hero to use at the right time...

The ironic thing is this CoH:Online bullshit started in China.  While it was probably to encourage the commies to actually pay money for the game, I highly doubt it.
