GodlikeDennis' Replay Pack
« on: September 29, 2010, 01:43:56 PM »
Just a small selection of entertaining replays I've had sitting around. Some of these are from the 1v1 tourney and some are just some other random games. All are under 1v1 auto settings. The majority of these games show my Blitz T2-4 strat. There are also some vanilla matchups in there.

Just a small note on balance; There's quite a lot of SU-85 and 100 use in these and I believe they're quite overpowered. Feel free to comment as well.

Also, why are .rar files not uploadable?

Interesting, will have a look at these. Thanks for buffing the replay section as well.

Your tourney games are really good references for balance, and the balance devs should refer to them.  The Sandland game for example was totally turned around by the SU; I believe you should have won otherwise.

I believe so, as well as the sniper team having slightly too much health, that let him get away a lot. Also the crit chance on the spotter gunned down volks like no tomorrow. Also, I just realised I may have accidentally included our game where I was American and strafed your snipers, that shouldn't be there.

SU-85 destroyed some Stugs, Pumas, and than with PTRD support a vet 0 Tiger but that dosnt make SU OP.
Same thing with a Firefly wining with a Panther.
Get vet for youre units Dennis. Youre Wehrmacht games that Ive seen so far look the same. Sneaky Stormtroops, a halftrack and MP40 Volks + Pios and MGs. All at vet 0.
At some points you had 500MP and +100Fuel but you reinforced youre troops, called in a tank with heavy side and rear armor, large splash radius, short gun range (sounds like a PE PzIV with skirts  but Im talking about a Tiger :P) and charged a SU + some PTRD head on.
Where were youre PAKs?
Also try using a Stug and 50mm Puma combo.

Yea that was a disgraceful replay for me.  I lost miserably that round.   :-[

I prefer not to get vet in my blitz strat until tanks are on the field. I get tank vet 1, followed by infantry vet 1,2. Until then, manpower goes towards stormies/mgs/paks and fuel goes towards teching. The Sandland game was a different situation because I altered my strat to T3 to try to kill his sniper which was killing all my units (which vet wouldn't have helped against). I get vet much more in my 2v2s and in various other strats. This strat requires more agressive infantry use and fast teching though.

I use paks in many of my games as AT because shreks can't be purely relied upon. A panther is commonly my first tank out though so when I tech quickly I don't need paks.

I don't like going T3 wehr usually. Stugs make me laugh too much, although pumas and nebels are excellent. I prefer a much more solid choice in either heavy T2 or T2-4 though.
