This woman whom was jaywalking (Walking across the street where there is no crosswalk) had her children with her and a drunk driver hit one of her boys head on and later died of complications. The drunk driver has a lesser sentence than the woman does.

(Later the charges were found ridiculous and a new trial is being held soon, however she still has a year's probation and a lot of community service. The original charge for her was 3 years, the drunk driver gets 6 months to a year and a half!)

I feel so bad for that woman. Everyone Jaywalks, I don't even know why it's illegal anymore
