Each player will get a standard sized base area (it is measured with a special splat).

As for the British CP, I will have to see. That thing smashes through everything so it might just be able to smash through the pillars.

Good work so far. I was going to suggest knocking one of the pillars down (even though, the Reichstags pillars remained intact) so the CP can move... I didn't really see the point in sticking to realism when people are talking about the British, not only being in Berlin, but defending the Reichstag too. :P

Also... won't it look wierd having 2 little houses sitting behind the pillars? Why can't they sit either side of the Stag?

I've never tried this, but is it possible to have Troop reinforcements spawn from the Stag as opposed to off map?

woah123, I actually prefer the layout of yours, with the larger space between the pillars.

I would like to make the roof itself a capturable territory, but that would take such a long time to make the area accessible what with stairways etc.

The base areas are of equal size, and each is the same size as a standard base area in the game.

The HQ's are slightly hidden behind the actual wall, so in game it looks like they are part of the wall. Troop reinforcements may be a bit over the top, especially considering the majority of the German reinforcements are large tanks, so I might have to make the reinforcements come from a road as usual.

I am thinking of making it into a 4v4 map, even though it is of medium size, to add to the carnage. I like the idea of four tigers rolling over 25 squads of conscripts.

Damn ! you took my idea ! And boy is it well done !! congratulations ! Do I still need to build my own Reichstag map ? I'm not sure... don't want to be ridiculous... lol
I assume the overall area of your map will encompass the Reichstag zone, the ministry of the interior, a portion of the Spree River, the Moltke Bridge and the other bank, where the Russians came from ?

I was wondering though, as I gazed in awe at your work - ;p - how you cope with the impassable area generated by the piece you used as the forepart of the roof (with the flag), given the fact that you placed HQ's under it ? Or am I mistaken, and it doesn't generate any impassability ?

Great great job !
I can't wait to see it finished !

Also... how will you design your map ? I mean do you plan on having german units entrenched in the buildings and the garden in front of the Reichstag from the very beginning ? Or will they have to "conquer" the territory, just as the Russians (regular CoH action) ?

I don't think so. Besides, we have a Berlin map now with the Reichstag and Brandenburger Tor, so Reichstag (which because of our naming policy would have to be called 'Berlin' and not 'Reichstag) won't be in the release, sorry.
