I have a map, can I send it?
« on: August 27, 2010, 09:23:37 PM »
Hi!
I have a map, based on battlefield from battle of Studzianki ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Studzianki [nofollow] ). It's already ready, I have version on 4 players and 6. Can I send it to someone to take a look? I can add screenshots.

I;m working on vista. And I know, that to make a loading screen, I have to make a folder loading in Program Files/Thq/Coh/WW2/Data/Scenario

BUT I DON"T HAVE FOLDER DATA AND SCENARIOS!!

What is interesting, that when I;m using this mod tool from tutorial, It finds kind of data file with these folders, but normaly I don't have them, and all files in them. Interesting...

I have only these files in My games in Documents, but If I'll creat loding foler there, it doesn't work. What should I do?

Are you looking for someone to test it? I'd be happy to take a look at it.

As far as being unable to get the loading screen to work, I'm not quite sure what to do. My friend is having the same problem but he can get his loading screen and map preview working when he doesn't play it in Eastern Front, so we're thinking it has something to do with the way he packed it as an SGA file.

Actually, I can't pack it in SGA becaus in location in Program Files there is nothing, but mod maker dectects smth there, but these folders are empty, because I can't see them and add smth to them.

I'm testing map with friend, but sure, I can give u it. Juts give me ur e-mail I'll send it (in zip it is only 6mb).

Relic's SGA export is buggy... use it under your own risk ;), if you want to export a map with Relic's Wordbuilder, you need to have your map files over Documents\My Games\Company of Heroes\ww2\Data\Scenarios\MP. Or at least when I sued to export maps I didn't need to do anything over CoH Directory.

So what should I do to be able to add my map to ur mod!?
And As I wrote in the topic on the top, should description be in english or it doesn't mind?
And also, I have a bug in WB. There are units who can't be removed. They are just there, they supposed to be wrecks, but now I can't delete them. I covered them with bushes etc. of course, but one infantry unit is seen because of it's badges. Is it importatn, or otherwise, how can i delete them?
