Won't Launch, Read The Read Heres

As the title says, it won't actually launch the mod, and I've followed the instructions in the Read Here threads to the letter, three times.

I'm running a Steam version, and started by making sure COH was up to date (it was - 2.601.0).  I then installed 1.2 (downloaded from ModDB), that and every update, pointed it to

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\company of heroes\

I did this for every patch the auto-updater would run, and I still get "Unable to locate Company of Heroes directory." error when I hit play.

As I've checked, double checked, and triple checked, having, as I said, done this installation 3 times now, I'm getting a little flustered.

It's a Windows 7/64 machine.  I've got COH(V), COHOF and COHTV from the Steam deal a while back.

Any help is of course appreciated, and if its something I can fix by altering a file in notepad, just let me know and I'll give it a crack.

Yes it's easy, you should omit step 5 because you already did it. Do as follow:

Open regedit(start->run->regedit) and search for this path "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Company of Heroes".

NOTE: 32 bits path -> "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Company of Heroes"

The value of that path should contains the CoH Directory:
"C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\company of heroes" (just an example)

If has another other value, you should put your CoH path. Therefore, you should follow these steps:

Open EF, probably you'll get an "unable to find company of heroes directory" error, you should follow this steps.

1)Open EF Launcher
2)Click OK on Error Message
3)Click on Settings Menu
4)Change the current path of CoH to the correct one. Currently you should have nothing, just a grey text box.
5)After chosing the correct path,  you can now play from the launcher. Of course, perhaps you'll need to update your EF. If you updated EF before solving this error, most probably won't be able to update by the launcher, if not you should click on the "Check for Updates" button.

If you updated EF before solving this error, you should follow these steps:
1)Go to CoH folder, then to EF_Updates or something like that, you will recognize the correct folder because it stores the patches you download.
2)Execute each update in their respective order(Updates from 1.21 or above).
3)You are ready to play the lattest version of EF.

I did this and still had some issues, Blackbishop.  So I ended up tweaking the Eastern Front reg entry slightly, and baddabing, baddaboom, it now works.

Could you post want do you changed in Eastern Front registry . It could help to fix futures cases like yours.
