Topic : Error in game

Well. When i play 3 Vs 3 or 4 Vs 4 map there will be some msg pop up ones a while. Like "Abnormal game", Fail to Create ( Some numbers ) or "Syn Error".


This happens when i zoom in close with Long View or Look many places at same time.

My PC spec
i7 2.67GHz
Asus ATi 5850 1GB 512 Bit
Asus Rampage III
3GB Ram
1TB harddisk

Are you sure you installed 1.20 full version?

Do you updated from the launcher?

Do you modified some files of EF(textures/tables...)?

I modified no file. its a seperate file i modified 1. I kept the old , new , latest and the modified 1. I install in 2 Company of Heroes, All updated to latest. I normally play the Original version of Eastern Front ( Not modified ) some times got this and that error playing over LAN. My version is the 1.25v if i remember, Coz i was playing with my friends on Lan. Both also same. The Modified 1 i modified the range double the range only, It can run but sometimes got error also.
When i play Normal Game ( Without Eastern Front ) Chances are 1% the game will have error.

When i played with EF. its 25%. Not 50%
 Never online playing EF before.

Perhaps you installed another mod? or your CoH install is corrupted... Do you installed skins packs?

Do you have Steam(download version) or Retail(dvd version) CoH?

If you have retail... are you sure you have 2.601(shows in the main menu that).

If you have steam you can do this: Steam->Library->right click on the game->Properties->Local Files->Verify integrity of the game cache.

i Remember once i downloaded a skin from Eastern front. But when install half way error. +.=

Then i play game normal. I think is the skin that course this error. I have retail version. i can play soviet because i have 2.601 v of CoH.

Right i go n reinstall the whole stuff.
Post Merge: August 28, 2010, 01:13:48 PMOkay, I have reinstall Company of Heroes but still got problem. The problem is that they said " Fail to Create File in TEMP folder please make some free space. " Is it lack of Ram? Coz i have 3GB Kingston RAM.
I got this error when playing EASTERN FRONT.

Or i install Company of Heroes wrongly?



I have 3 Company of Heroes


-Company of Heroes Gold Edition ( Have Company of Heroes & Opposing Fronts )

-Company of Heroes Tales of Valor


1st. I install Company of Heroes  Opposing Fronts from Gold Edition, Then i install Tales of Valor.


PC spec is the same as above one.  With latest Driver using DirectX11 and Window 7 32 Bit Ultimate.

AH Ha! After a long time digging in deep in PC system to figure out what is my error. Is a very little problem. Windows TEMP memory if full.

So after i reinstall my whole Pc still have this issue due because of microsoft stuff and any other software stuff.

If you have a window 7 click start in destop
seach in the box for Run
Then a little window pop up run.
Type in TEMP
Then a folder pop up. Delete everything. Well if there is 1 or 2 files that cant be deleted. Then leave them be.

2ndly . Open Run again
put in C:/Document/User/<Login name>/local setting/TEMP
Then a window pop up again in TEMP. Delete everything there. make sure is it empty.

Notice : Note that local setting cant be get in due to some window stuff to block it.

Then RUn COH Play 4 vs 4.
If it continues to say Error or cant make a TEMp folder, do it again and then is done. Just do 2 times if needed.

Sorry for Spamming i am so happy i can play CoH, Eastern Front, BK , BotB and other mods in large maps and many player.

If you do not understand what i said. Just go to Start for window 7,
Type "Error in Temp" folder in Seach box in the start button.

I recently only figure it out.

Can Rizz please add this into the Read before Posting tread. I solve the problem!

So resuming the steps should be:
How to fix the OP error:
1)Start Menu->Run(or windows key + R)->temp
2)Delete all what you can.
3)Start Menu->Run(or windows key + R)->%temp%
4)Delete all what you can.
If you get the error again, repeat from step 1. Try to keep clean these folders in order to avoid those errors.

Umm 1 and 2nd is correct. 3rd i don't understand.
ok i explain 3rd.

1. Open Run and type in C:/Document/User/<Login name>/local setting/TEMP

( Note <Login Name>. that means it is ur Account name.  For example my PC name ImperialKaskins. C:/Document/User/ImperialKaskins/local setting/TEMP )

2. Delete what ever is in it.

3. Then open CoH and play. 1st Play 4 Vs 4 map. Put all 7 Ai and including u and start a match.
(Then if a msg pop up during loading or in game. "said Error or failed to create TEMP folder )

Do all over again and is done, Do at least 2 times. If you play the 3 vs 3 map. ( I havent tested yet ) Maybe you will still get this error. But after you keep repeatedly during it then sooner or later this problem is gone.

Is just that simple.

( Note : There are two Temp Folder, One in "C:/My Document/Local Setting/Temp "  it is hidden ) The other one i forgot already where was it, But you can find it under "Run"

Run = Temp
Run = C:/Document/User/ImperialKaskins/Local Setting/Temp.


If you got Window 7. Open Start and search "Error in Temp" There is a Internet stuff where it said Error in Temp internet page. Open it and you can read it.

Oh i try when i get back to my window 7 2night
