hmm...i don't see the point in using lever-actions in combat/live-firing exercises either, unless you're 1.) a cowboy fanatic, 2.) an unrepentant Texan who also packs a "six-gun", or 3.) an eccentric Delta sharpshooter  :P

I sometimes use my Kar98k for deer-hunting... It's a delightful rifle, reliable, substantial and accurate (even without windage adjustments or peep-sights, mind you). Sometimes I get carried away while using it, like wearing my M44 Erbsenmuster Waffen-SS camo togs with my M42 Stalhelm and pretending I'm on the Kurland front. Although I'll be shooting deer instead of Sowjiets.  ;D A rifle like that does that to you  8)

I tipically find my Winchester-lever action rifle easier to fire [I'm lasy, i cba moving my hand top put a new round in the rifle]  And where i come from, the only things typically you can hunt also hunt YOU! v-v.

I thought I was the only one who went out at 4 in the morning deer hunting and pretended I was hunting partisans.

I am shocked - shocked - to see Kar98k winning this poll. The Lee-Enfield was by and far a superior rifle, from its inception to its used in the second World War.

Because the Kar looks sexier.

Well I think the Kar98k looks like, well a mature, seductive beauty you would meet in a bar. The Lee-Enfield would be a more simple, adorable, and elegant woman. So basically sexy vs.cute. Lol can't believe I'm comparing 100+ year old bolt-action rifles to women.
Ideas are more powerful than guns. We would not let our enemies have guns, why should we let them have ideas?
