Nice replays, I especially liked the Tannenberg and Rails&Metal where Budwise played Wehr. Those games were epic!!! Recommended to all who wants to learn spmething about 2v2 multiplay - cooperation and complementation :).

Fully agree with wordsmith.

The two mentioned games were well balanced very intense match ups played by high skilled players. Very nice to watch.

The IS2 is a monster!

I had to smile when the wehr player on rails n metal complained about all the mine spamming... well, plp tend to spam things they get for free.. xD Something to think about regarding next patches.

Also the arty ability of Command Squad in early game... bought a cheap but important edge for the allies... I mean the whole goddam house went down? xD

Ver nice gaming. More of this pls.

Actually Soviet mines cost munitions like the others. I actually didn't like the rails game. The Soviet strategy annoyed me for some reason, pretty much just using the command squad in the early game and playing support midgame. IS2 didn't have a hope in hell against KT. Vetted pumas too... but well played.

Oh, didnt know.

The rails game was very much in favor of the allies when the house went down - what marked the first engagement in the whole game. I think one of the players even says this...

Ye, KT rulez pretty much every armor... but its just so nice to see the IS2-Monster batteltank in action... devouring vetted Pumas like they were real prey... xD

Rails games are in favour of the allies as soon as the load screen appears...

(Not an angry statement, rails is my favourite map to play 2v2AT as axis with my partner.)

The map favours the early infantry blob style of play that allies go with. Because the map is so narrow and Americans are so mobile, they can also double team one player very easily without having to compromise defense on the other side. Double US isn't even remotely the problem. The map is pretty much perfectly made for the Brits. The +10s in the central positions make perfect bases and an early mortar here can claim the entire area around it in every direction. It is also good for bren carriers due to the roads everywhere. Still the best 2v2 map though just for the fun factor if not the balance one.

I see your point. Though you could tell this story the other way around too. Since it is just a narrow frontline due to the rectangular playground, it favours wehr defense player. Medic in center, mg with volks support rule early (4 mg's you cover the whole front), mines on roads ruin vehicle mobility for allies, superior wehr mortar punish any blobbing, paks easy to place crossfiring... but i see your point.

It can be the other way around. PE is moblie and has lots of inf. And as HansBLix said, wher can be defensive.
The Russians think there sooo tough, wait till the Ostheer comes...

This CAN happen, as I do often with my 2v2 axis partner but allies still have the advantage. Their victory is just not set in stone. The mortar in the middle completely negates most of the map for wehrmacht mgs btw and PE, even in 2v2s, isn't very strong right now.

Sounds like the first faction to reach it is the one with the advantage. A race to gain a hold.

Not really, since allies have a massive advantage in the early game. US steamrolls with bars and Brits can't be stopped with their early MP advantage. They WILL get to the middle first. Whether or not you can uproot them is what determines the match.
