@2481
How much free space is left on your hard drive? What are the specs of your pc?

For me looks like a bottleneck between higher effects and low ram or vram.

@everyone else with a crash error without temp folder error
Do you use ultra settings? Do you have the latest drivers?

@GameMan
Try playing EF with High or Medium settings instead of Ultra :P.

Not much action on my side of the map, there was a large firefight on the opposite side between Wehr, Soviets, and US. Unfortunately since I wasn't involved and no temp replay was generated, I can't be very specific. There was a Halftrack, and a group of Volks and Stormtroopers were moving into cover while some Conscripts were doing the same.

*Do the crashes happen during every or almost every game?

This was the first crash I've experienced once the game had started. I've had a few others during load, but this was the first in-game.

I was investigating, and found this article :P

How to use and Install SensorsViewPro™. How to use and Install SensorsViewPro™.
Published by chauffeur2 10-21-2006

Introduction:

You have presumably been directed here because you are having overheating, Power Supply voltage issues with your computer, or need to know if your fan speeds are appropriate.
SensorsViewPro™ is a program designed to be simple and easy to use.
With SensorsViewPro™, you will be able see:

    * The current temperatures of:

    * Motherboard
    * CPU
    * Chipset
    * Hard Disc Drive(s) [HDD]
    * Voltages of Power Supply Unit
    * Internal Fan Speeds

You can the have confidence that the readings are relatively accurate[1.]. In the event of critical values of any parameters such as, CPU overheating and/or Fan Stops, SensorsViewPro™ will inform you about these conditions [with an alarm, when set] and store information about it in a Log File.
[This file is typically located at C:\ProgramFiles\SensorsViewPro21 log.txt].
It is also possible to shutdown your computer as a safeguard.

Please Note:

Some motherboard readings can be mislabelled (CPU<->SYS, SYS<->AUX etc.). This does not effect the operation of the program.
SensorsViewPro™ does not support all motherboard chipsets.

Supported Chipsets:

• Winbond: W83781d, W83782d, W83783s, W83627HF, W83627EHF, W83627THF, W83637HF, W83697HF, W83L784, W83L785

• Via: Via 686, VT1211

• SMSC: LPC47Mxxx

• ITE: ITE8705F, ITE8712F

• ASUS: AS99127F rev.1, AS99127F rev.2, ASB100

• National Semiconductors: LM63, LM75, LM77, LM78, LM78-J, LM79, LM80, LM85, LM87, LM90, PC83630, PC83633, PC83634, PC83635, PC83636

• Analog Devices: ADT7476, ADM1027, ADM1028, ADM1030, ADM1031

• Maxim: MAX1617, MAX1618, MAX1619

• Genesys Logic: GL520, GL523.

These are the majority of supported chipsets. If you think that your motherboard chipset is not supported, please contact STV Software directly at, mailto:support@stvsoft.com, for technical assistance.

Installation:

This is the direct download link for a Trial Version [2.] of SensorsViewPro™ 4.1. Click on the link and ‘Save’ it to your Desktop.
Before you install the program, Right click on the icon and scan it with your anti-virus program.
Once you have done that Right click the icon again and select ‘Properties’ > Unblock > OK.

You are now ready for the installation.

Double click on the icon and follow the prompts for installation.
Once the program is installed, open it by double clicking the icon on the Desktop. A screen similar to this will appear:

The information shown here is the type that TSF Members will need in order to assess your PSU and CPU status. You may either copy it and type in the temperatures and voltages, or upload your own screenshot to add to your reply post.

Program Features:

SensorsViewPro™ has a number of custom features that can be modified to your own personal preferences. To access the Custom Features, just right click on the temperature displayed in the system tray, and the Options Panel will be displayed, as shown:

Click on ‘Settings’ and a new Panel becomes visible:
You can set SensorsViewPro™ to start when you power up your computer by simply ticking the box ‘Run with Windows’. Otherwise leave it at the default setting.

This screen shows the ‘Alarm’ options available with SensorsViewPro™.
By default these options are not activated unless done so by the user.
It is advisable to activate this option to alert you should your computer have any critical events occur, such as excessive temperatures or low voltages.

You will notice in this example that the boxes ‘Notify’ and ‘Play Sound’ are marked.
These are marked as a personal choice of this particular user.
The file used for the ‘Alarm’ in this instance is: “C:\WINDOWS\Media\WindowsXPCriticalStop.wav”; however, any ".wav" file may be used; this is entirely up to the user’s individual preference.

Other enhancements of SensorsViewPro™ are the ability to have the monitoring of temperatures, voltages, Fan speeds, and CPU useage shown in Chart form. This feature is accessible by clicking on ‘Charts’ in the Options Panel.

This screenshot gives an example of the Temperature Graph.

Conclusion:

The majority of the settings used in this example are the default settings of the program, which are quite adequate for the general computer user and therefore, they do not really need changing.
However, should you decide to change them, do so at your own risk. It is recommended that you create a Restore Point before any adjustments are made, with this or any other program.
Now that you have tested SensorsViewPro™, you will agree that it is a very user-friendly program.

Notes:

[1.] Although there is no guarantee that the readings given by the SensorsViewPro™ program are correct, the writer has compared the temperature readings with the BIOS SMART status temperature readings, and found them to be accurate to within one degree Celsius.

[2.] The Trial Version of this program is for 21 14 days; however, it is available for purchase from the program developers for a small fee, either during or after the Trial Period. All enquiries in this regard need to be directed to them, as TSF does not sell any software.

The writer would like to acknowledge and thank STV Software for their valuable assistance with the supplying of some of the detailed technical information contained in this article.

The software is a fully functional trial, enough time for "testing" ;), I think we can use it to check if the crashes are related to overheating or something else... Please post your temps,and voltage readings. I think that Everest from Lavalys does the same and more, but it's "complicated"; I hope it helps to diagnose.

As SensorsViewPro doesn't check the video card temp, you can download and use GPU-Z, an utility for video cards, free by the way. While playing you can keep it open to log the information of the sensors from your video card, recording the temp of the chipset, etc. To enable save logs you should click on Sensors tab->Log to File->Choose path.

By the way the links redirect to the most recent version.

Thanks to chauffeur2 from Tech Support Forums for the article.

Cheers!

What map were you playing?

(6) Kiev

Which factions were involved?

3 Russians, 2 PE (me) 1 Wehrmaht

What were you doing when the crash occurred? Try to be as accurate as possible!

Nothing...during the loading one russians crash (disconnection made appeared).
When game star, I heard only the noise of my Swimmwagen and i don't saw nothing (monitor completely black).
Then , the game brought me back to the desktop and appeared a window that says "The driver of your graphic card has stop to work and now has been successfully rehabilitated"  ??? ???

Do the crashes happen during every or almost every game?

Relic's Bug report appeared after.

PS the game don't save me the replay.
In this way is the first time

I get the same problem any map over 4 players (Stalingrad, Berlin etc) and the game crashes, doesnt even finish loading just end up getting "Failed to create dump file (error 183) and then crashes to the desktop. If i play americans or british the map will load but will crash 10mins into playing :(.

I have no problems at all with normal company of heros and i run the settings at high, i did lower the setttings to medium to see if it would work and it it did load Stalingrad. however its a pain to play it in medium graphics especially if normal company of heros works fine :)

Is there a fix for this error or a way around it? any help would be appreciated as the MOD is awesome

I go to start COH EF, the game checks for updates ok, but when I go to play the game it just says that the game is up to date and does not start at all.

Go to the EF Launcher->Settings->CoH Directory->Select the correct path. Do you have Steam CoH?

If you update EF before fixing this you will need to go to CoH folder\EF_Updates and install one by one update starting from EF_Setup(1.2.2.0) :P. If not, after selecting the correct path just click on "check for updates" button.

Hi,

First of all... fantastic work to produce this mod  ;D

The game crashes with a Resource .DLL not found error.  This has only happened on the Prague map, playing as Russians Vs Wher(AI).  It does not seem associated with production of any particular unit (at least by the Russian faction) and i have played other maps with no problem.
The same crash seems to occur after 20mins or 2 hours.

The game hangs, screen goes black and a window pops up (that i couldn't seem to close), saying;

"BugSplatRC resource DLL not found."

The warnings.log file was actualy 18.1meg(gulp) so i have edited it, removing the mass of lines reading
'Warning: upgrade in upgrade prerequisite doesn't exist' and hopefully leaving the rest.

Below is the bugsplat.txt file created when the crash occured
Quote

I had a 5 man ZiS AT that was destroyed leaving a single crew member behind. I moved the guy back to try and reinforce and could, to a cap of 3.  Then I proceeded to try and re-crew one of my own crew-less mortars with the now useless AT team and the game locked up. The map was Moscow and I was facing Wehrmacht.
Also the gunless crewmembers could not enter buildings of any kind.

Clash, that isn't a crash. Or if it crashed tell blackbishop. You should post it in a topic already like that or make your own topic about it.
The Russians think there sooo tough, wait till the Ostheer comes...
