yes, but in practice no one cares: in ww2 the americans thought not giving combat medics guns meant the enemy saw them as non combattants, but they were still killed

Nowadays every squad has one trooper with first aid, but he's still essentially a soldier, like the project reality medic. Then if ur wounded, ur dragged by them back to a professional platoon medic back to a hospital

ok killing medics no one cares about but no one can hardly miss if a hospital got bombed, that must have a bigger response.

in the end many wounded will be killed, yes the destruction of hospitals occurs but it happens less often and though there is an outcry, often countries see the wounded enemy as reinforcements to be recirculated into service: winston Churchill said that "a POW is a man who tries to kill you and fails then begs for forgivness."

It is almost inevitable that wounded, those tending for the wounded and civilians will die in war, it's just a fact in war.

hmm this feels like a dead end i surrender my arguments about the medics and hospitals. but i'm sure the conention say ur not allowed to shoot at people parachuting from a crashing plane, in that case i think its better to try and capture them when they get down any way cuse pilots are not growing on trees and you might be anble to exstandge(<- swap or some thing) against another prisoner. thats what i would have done any way.

There was plenty of times when the Geneva convention was thrown away WWII-

Mostly by the Russians and the die hard Nazi's (SS battalions and such)
There were also some British, Canadian, Polish, and American atrocities...

I am a Corpsman, (naval medic) and i deploy with the Marines, i am a non-combatant, however, i have the right to defend my self and my patient, and i can choose to waver my non-combatant status to become a combatant corpsman, and most of us are/do.
