Ostwinds have 38mm of penetration, Now how many times have I seen an Ostwind shot bounce off a 16mm Greyhound?

Not neccissarily the gun, more over, the rapidness it can fire with. It's SUPER effective VS Airbourne because the gun can point up, and it can RIP those targets to shreds.

Other than airbourne, it's pretty effective VS All infantry, maybe Rangers are your exception.

Seriously though guys, you gotta put up a new message on the front page.....summarizing what you've mentioned here?

It looks very bad for a website not to update even at least once a month...and very dispiriting for passersby :)

HDLK

Only things we have said here is that we are working on it and it will be called 1.10?

Yup - and thats better than the two month old, badly formatted announcement up at the moment....

A sure fire way to lose public interest is to appear dead, on the front page.

C'mon, it takes, what, 5 mins to update?

He has a point. If you want to attract more people to the mod, make sure to keep the front page showing the most current news. Not everyone who expresses an interest in the mod is gonna pop into the forums to see if there's some more recent news that isn't on the main page.

i'm sure that there will be a post as soon as there is some news  ;)

right now it would be like "there's an upcoming patch called 1.10" and everybody would spam the forum asking when it will come and what it will be like...  ::)

I think it shouldn't matter if they don't post any news since april 1st, sooner or later they'll.

Yes, I just clicked " check for updates" and it didn't say cant connect to sever. Instead, it was working.

I agree with you 100% Happycat. :D

April Fools Doctrines- that wasn't funny, I almost deleted EF.
The Russians think there sooo tough, wait till the Ostheer comes...

OFF TOPIC:
Someone said earlier that storms have cloak and PE have sprint and compared these to fire up. These are both proactive powers that must be accounted for and activated beforehand. Fire Up! is a reactive ability in that not only does it stop suppression, it breaks it as well. Thus, the forethought required by the other abilities is not there and is inherently much easier to use.

Also just want to point out that pumas effectively hard-counter airborne. The dodge bonus + speed + damage + immunity to strafe make them good all round. Add in the fact that they destroy falling airborne as well and you have a powerful unit. Nebels destroy AT guns and blobs as well.

Not to mention that a standard grenspam is very effective against airborne anyway. Airborne is usually a poor doctrine choice against wehr unless he's pushed off the field already.

Like everyone else, I'm eagerly awaiting the patch.

If I EVER play Airbourne, I secure all my ammo, and then use this tactic:

1. Send a scout plane right to the enemy base.
2. Drop a paratrooper squad somewhere BEHIND a MG post so they don't get destroyed.
3. Call in a bombing run on the more valuable buildings.

If anything remains, use the Satchel Charges.

And if it doesn't look good, retreat. Reinforce and get them slightly outside the base. Repeat 1-2 (3 as an optional)
Have the new squad use satchel charges on the MG bunker, and move the 2 squads in.

I RARELY use airbourne though. It is probably the weakest of the doctrines. PE has very effective AA emplacements available, and like stated, the Ostwind and the Puma is OVERKILL against them.
