Guys, once again this ain't historical realism...one man dies the other picks up the rifle and continues' is simply put...fucking cool!...so its here to stay end of.

On another note, I'm hoping our resident coding magicians will have the patch ready by next weekend with crap loads of changes, as you'll see, that will make the soviet faction more balanced and interesting faction to play.

Tweaks in teching means you'll have alot more options on how you tech and what options you get.

I agree and I'm happy you guys are keeping the conscripts based on EaTG and CoD despite the whining from some people. I NEVER see them complaining about the vCoH 3 man squads of elegantly-dressed Knigth Cross-wielding bullet-resistant supermen that never existed in reality.

problems with the lack of weapons for the new recruits were only in the first months of war, because people who want to fight for their country was more than the possibility of supply, but they are spoiling for a fight with their bare hands ready to kill Nazis, fought even children. Regular troops were always armed and they drank  only 100 grams of vodka before the serious attack.

who says that?
Soviet Propagandaministry?  ;)
My grandfather said this, he fought in Stalingrad. The weapon was lying under the feet - "pick up a rifle and shoot".

Ok then if you're not aiming for historical realism, then make the soviets be able to fight the Americans & Brits also... I think alot of people will like this idea

I think is wrong to say about this mod to not be historical accurate.

It IS historical accurate, but in the limits of gameplay balance.

Correct ?

I wouldn't... It would be spam out the ass... and then Soviet armor would roll them...no balance against each other

My grandfather said this, he fought in Stalingrad. The weapon was lying under the feet - "pick up a rifle and shoot".

My granfather sayd other thing.

There was a lot of guns, but very small of ammunition. Also, there were SO MUCh gunfire, mine blasts, bomb explosions in infantry positions, that even lying weapon was smashed and useless. All rifles, MG's, even helmets were shot up many times...

Soldiers had to care about their weapon not to lost it. And be accurate with ammunition, because of bery hard way of supply - across the Volga. Attacks of Ju87/Ju88 made ship supply extremly hard in day light.

Average life length of private soldier in september "meat-grind" in Stalingrad was ONLY ONE DAY.

My grangrandfather fought all through the aug and sept, all the time in frontline, and in mid october was badly shellshocked my bomb exlosion, almost killed him.

He sayd - in october we alsmost had no ammo to our rifles, so the only way to get weapon - take it from germans. We had to attack german positions with steel bars, bricks, knifes and bajonettes. "Urrraaaa! and forward!". He got Officer's Orden of Red Banner for saving a life of his commandeur, when he armed with 2 grenades and steel barrel, killed 8 germans and bring his wounded officer to his positions.

Ok, it is true in October 26 1942,Front chief of staff Major-General Malinin reported: on the each kilometer 74 45-76mm guns, and we have 12 76-120mm. mortar regiments. At the same time Germans bombed marinas,But the supply of ammunition lasted continuously

Hi! I would like the salvage wrecks ability removed from tank assault doctrine. It's kinda lame IMO to have four man repair a destroyed tank, and they do it pretty fast too.Just put something like su-100 has thredbreaking ability or something else...
Gret mod btw!

I don't agree. Just let it as it is. You just need to destroy the wrecks and apart from wreck of ISU 152 (and IS2 , not sure), your tanks can just walk above it and destroy it or just shot it. Anyway, mechanics are also vulnerable and cost 300 mp which is a lot ( 1 mechanic = 2 ingeneys = 1 guard) so getting the salvage ability make them more interesting.

Soviets dont have medics, they have salvaging mechanics. (Like PE and the BergeTiger). Maybe if they salvaged slower...
A powerfull unit like SU-100 cant tredbreak. PE needed a special halftrack and a Marder or a shreck to benefit from tredbreaker. A single powerfull mobile AT gun that can stop any tank to finish it of is OP.
