I can't download any file from this server. When IDM capture download link, it can't find file size and download is fail. External download links are ok. (gamefront...etc) . Why I am fail my download everytime in this server?

Could you post your EF_Launcher_Log.txt please (it's in your CoH Directory).

What EF Patch you got installed? Based on this it looks like you got a pre-1.5 patch installed at least, but ya, it looks like our patching server. What's odd it's fine for most people.

Now the patcher is working fine...my question is:

-Would it be like the past time where you patched the game trhough the patcher and it didnt work, so many of us needed to downloaded it manually??

-If its so, we are in a hurry because the manual patch is not working ".exe is not a valid win32 applicaction" it says every single time i redownload it...why?

This problem usually happens because EF is installed without admin rights(or maybe just bad luck :)), you can try to fix it by reinstalling it and making sure you have admin rights while reinstalling EF. But if you want to fix this by yourself(tough guy huh :P) you can do this:

Open a regedit instance(windows key + R or start menu->run and type regedit then execute) and look for "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Eastern Front" key, and should store your current EF version information. If you are using x64 OS, try checking on "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node".

If not, you can restore it by running this registry entry:

For x86 users:

The previous entries are done expecting you have the latest version, otherwise change "1.6.0.1" for the current version you have installed.

If you know how to create registry entries you probably prefer to add them yourself, otherwise, paste it on a text editor(like notepad) and save it as reg file: i.e. filename.reg, where filename is whatever name you like and then double click it in order to add the registry. You can use the script whenever you want, just that everytime you use it you overwrite the old registry so, be sure about what you add there.

The "Display Version" value must be filled with the latest version you have of Eastern Front, if you don't remember maybe it's better to reinstall, but if you are sure about what version you have, you can add it yourself.

I have problem with my EF launcher  - it says that the game doesnt appear to be installed

My CoH is Steam .. EF was installed correctly (it alone find the game dir)


I am with win 7  64bit OS


Tried to go - [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Eastern Front] ,  but there is no EF folder/file ...

I am not sure what is my version 1.6.0.0 or 1.6.0.1 ... In ABOUT menu there is nothing after game version.

Can you help me ?




EDIT:

A founded before 10min file from one of blackbishop's posts helped me -  registry fix.

Oh... I have another thread about the exe not working.

I downloaded the 2.1.0.1 but am I to understand from this thread I need to start with the 1.0.0.0 installation and go up from there? I thought 2.1.0.1 was all I need - a full version.
