General Perceptions in connection with the Red Army

First of all, I must congratulate to the makers of this incredibly good mod. Many of us waited for this mod for a long time, and most of us find it fantastic.
However, there are some problems we have to talk about.
When you play with the soviets
1- There is no solution for securing strategic and resource points. (this problem is even worse because of the irrealisticly high soviet upgrade costs)
2- The is no method for blowing up bridges and obstacles.
3- Disabling the 'retreat' button for the russians was a very bad idea.
Despite of any clear historical background behind this idea, the 'reatreat' option is a key feature of CoH game mechanics.
I agree that the retreat feature is irrelistic, but it is a very important piece of the CoH game mechanics, and because of that, it cannot be removed. In CoH, balancing and game mechanics was always much more important than realism or historical accuracy.
4- Soviet conscripts without rifles is funny, but strongly historically incorrect. In 1944 the red army did not
have any resource problems. Things have changed drastically since the beginning of the great patriotic war in 1941.
5- It wuold be better to equip AT teams with american lend lease bazookas. AT rifles were useless aganist tanks since 1940.
In 1944, there was no place for AT rifles.
6- The player can build all soviet vehicles in one building. This feature is, like the 'no-reateat-for-soviets', is strongly aganist CoH game core mechanics.
All vanilla factions have early accessable light armored vehicles(M8,Puma,,Stuart), mid and late vehicles, and doctrine vehicles. The eastern front mod shuold follow this path, too. Accessing all vehicles in the same time is a very bad idea.
7- As well as the 'time of accessability' for the vehicles, the unit and upgrade costs also needs a lot of balancing.
(ie:conscripts is far very cheap, and the player can overwhelm the enemy with them in seconds)
The same appies for build times.(too fast)
8- Squeezing all upgrades to only one building is also a bad choice. It would be better to share them wisely like the american and PE faction do.
9- Soviet soldiers cannot capture enemy equipment. This must be fixed.
10- The T-90 AA vechile is need to be changed for something more common.
11- All vanilla factions have a well tought out concept behind them. Currently, the soviet faction is sightly lacks that kind of concept, witch is one of the biggest problems.
I write these things only because I really think that this mod have far more potential than any other mods for CoH.
I believe that with much rethinking and balancing this mod can really become a non-official expansion set for the game.

1- Agree, the upgrade costs really needs a fix!
2-This is the most important thing ive also noticed. Needs fixing!
3- I agree to 50%, only the units from the mustering tent and the commissar squad shouldnt be able to retreat. The rest should be able ro retreat
4-Disagree, though wat you say is correct. But you cant expect that everything will be historical correct. Its a really funny thing and should be kept that way. Btw eveything that you wrote isnt historically correct neither
5-Could possibly be an upgrade for the AT squad. Its kinda historically correct to. Usefull in the begining, unusefull in the end
6-Agree 100%!
7-Agree 50%, some produced times should be longer but the rest is just fine
8-Disagree, its a cool feature and should be kept.
9-DISAGREE, i think its really cool!
10-Dont know so much about this so no comment, but if its uncommon it should be switched i guess
11-Disagree, i think theres a good concept behind the whole faction, but thats just my opinion

Partisans have demo charges. Other than that you are right, bridge management is very difficult with russians. Wont get changed because most players hate bridge maps. Would be nice to have an easier way to blow bridges than having to go urban.
Totally agree on #5. Lend lease bazookas were so common that the panzerschreck was based off of captured lend lease bazookas on the eastern front. Would be much better than the shit AT rifles.
The concept is well thought out, it doesnt need changes.

I think I found a solution for some problems.
3- Disabling the 'retreat' button for the russians was a very bad idea.
Despite of any clear historical background behind this idea, the 'reatreat' option is a key feature of CoH game mechanics.
A solution would be to let the soviet troops "Return to the Major"(Command Unit), just like the british "Return to the Captain" command.
With this, the soviets soldiers could be pulled out from dangerous situations without using the regular "retreat" order.
6- The player can build all soviet vehicles in one building. This feature is, like the 'no-reateat-for-soviets', is strongly aganist CoH game core mechanics.
The most obvious solution is to put in the soviet BA-64 armored car, available from the Support Barracks. The BA-64 is armed only with a 7.62 DT machine gun, and it would be vulnerable to small arms fire just like the PE Scout Car/Armored Car.
This way the soviet players could have a partly small-arms fire resistant armored vehicle(armed only with MG) long before the Tank Hall.
The rest of the vehicles must be shared in one than more building, though.
5- It wuold be better to equip AT teams with american lend lease bazookas
As basic369 said, bazookas could be an upgrade for the AT squad. This way, soviet player could effectively use AT squad in late game situations. The default for the AT squad would be the two AT rifles, and the upgrade would change the AT rifles to bazookas.
-It would be also wise to let the engineers build Observation Postst to increase resource incomes.
-Currently Soviets sarts with no units. It would be better is they start with one engineer unit, yust like the other factions.
I hope the developers read these.
