ToV patch error issue

hey guys, can any1 help.. 

when i tried to install EF on my friends PC the install completely done without problem, but, the soviet is till locked..

because its ToV so i thought the version is 2.500.0 n u guys said this "locked" issue can be done by patching the latest 2.601 or so... when i tried the patch 2.500-2.5001, its shows

"version 2.0001 is already installed", but when i saw in the game menu page it shows version 2.500

so i tried to check the "regedit" n change the version manually to 2.500, but still the patch didn't workout now it said "unrecognized version is intalled" wtf... i almost hit my friend PC with my bare hand  .... luckily i realized its not mine.. hehehee

so any have the same issue, can any1 help... ty for any information... iam looking forward to it...

Finally i figured it out..

All u need is:
1. Unistal the existing ToV
2. Install COH, then OF, then ToV and do not try to playing it
3. check in the regedit, if it shows 2.0.0.1 change it manualy to 2.500.0
3.Patch it, viola it will works
