they made it so the mechanics can recover wreaks, where the is2 used to be able to bunker in...they are toying with changing it again, any ideas of what should be in place of wreak recover for breakthrough strat?

Back-on topic: I never noticed to how the repair rate "slower" than usual, mainly because I find it pointless to have a single squad repairing, where as you control the might of the Red Army to which you can get more Ingenery's to help?

maybe a "blitzkrieg" type ability? Anything but wreck recover.

PE needs it, their vehicles are paper. Soviet armor is cheap enough to buy over and over again.

Soviets also recovered wrecks, they didn`t just let them rot on the field. And why such fuss about wreck recover, you need to choose a specific doctrine, spend valuable command points to even be able to recover wrecks, mechanics die like turkeys upon Christmas and in best possible scenario - they recover 1 maybe 2 wrecks per game? It`s a logical ability, for that doctrine!?

So what?

In real life the IS-2 had more success against infantry than the panthers it was designed to fight - it's a game, doesn't have to be real, but balanced to be fun.

The soviets have taken all the best abilities of all the other factions and stuffed them into one faction, only cheaper - giving them unequalled tactical versatility.

"So what?"
IS-2 is a HEAVY tank, nerfing it to a toy is ridicules. Relic did the same thing with the Tiger and look where that brought us.

Tactical versatility? Is that what you call when 5 Soviet units meat 2 Axis units and loose? Those abilities were not "stolen" but adopted, and that cheep abilities are a compensation for poor unit performance, especially in inf.
If you want equality - go run for president, this game is about advantage, and every faction has one. Only now - everything is too good for the Soviets, you might as well nerf the whole damn faction.
I say no rifles for any Soviet inf.  and no shell`s for tanks
Hope that "nerf" will get the "balance" you aaall nead.

You must be playing another game than me then, because 2 german units only beat, 5 soviet ones provided they are in heavy cover - which they can only really be if they are defending.

When i play, those 2 german units will have to sit around all day, trying to defend - often less than half the map - against massive numbers of cheap troops while the soviets go on a  capping spree on the rest of the map.

This recover wreck needs to STOP.  There is a damn reason why PE can recover and why Wehr cannot.  USSR is not underpowered in other areas at all...this is disgusting.

The noobs here don't understand that you cannot rush a good player's mechanics if there's an army protecting them, therefore the mechanics (who are happily fixing the tank wrecks) will mostly be unharmed; in addition if one mech squad dies, calling in another is extremely easy, unlike the Bergetiger.

There's nothing wrong with recover wreck. Those mechcanics are very weak and easy to kill.

And Yes theSovit engineers are way too slow at repair.
