ostheer doctrine

Hey first post ever here, and I have to say my dad love the Mod. Really awesome so a big thanks to the people who created it.

I was thinking that instead of having doctrine, use Divisions instead.

So you'd be play as the Ostheer and then could choose to be the 5Th SS panzer, 6Th army, or Grossdeutschland

The difference between each division could be like this.

1. 5Th SS panzer having a heavy focus on tanks (a bit like US armour)

2. 6Th army having a focus on infantry benefits, and street figthing and defense.

3. Grossdeutschland acting as panzergrendier division with a focus on assaults and aggressive fighting.

So that's my idea.

Interesting, but the Luftwaffe should definately be depicted as a part of one/all of these.

True as either stuka's in air support or as troops.

The Fallshrimjager did fight in the Eastern front and would be a very good elite unit to add. But I figured the PE already has them so you would risk having the same thing a an existing faction, if that's even a problem.

What about a massive, extremely long cool down time and very expensive bombing run. Not just little fighter bombs, but the Luftwaffe's best strategic bombers.

How it would be with where one a lot of defence has like a bunker with antitank guns

No, the Ostheer should be a mobile faction. It didn't have much time to put up bunkers and camps. I think that there should be instead as a call-in be an 88 on wheels pulled by a team of horses.
