Finns?
« on: January 15, 2010, 07:24:47 PM »
You may have probably discussed this before, but I'm new here so I'm not quite sure.  I know you've already developed the mod but would there be any chance of adding the Finns to the game?  Is that possible?

Yes it's possible. Easy to do, even. Great idea even :)
But Lord Rommel won't accept it. He believes a Pacific
mod would still be SS Germans vs US Marines ;)
You know, there are many people in the country today who, through no fault of their own, are sane. Some of them were born sane. Some of them became sane later in their lives. It is up to people like you and me who are out of our tiny little minds to try and help these people overcome their sanity

Finns as a faction wont be added.

But there is some talk of adding them along with Hungarians/Italians and Romanians as support troops for each of the Ostheer Doctrines.

Finns being part of the "Army Group North" choice. If indeed thats how the Ostheer doctrines are structured. Its all up in the air at the moment though

It's so much fun when ... sorry, GF distracted me...
 What was I talking about?...

 ... ...

 Oh, okay.

Hmm, yea, when people don't pay attention :)
Isn't there a search option ? Type Finns Finnish something :)

Still think Finn call-ins is a must :)

See? My opinion rarely varies :)

Sounds cool, kind of like a crude russian version of the goliath. However, if they actually put them in the game, they should be only able to attack tanks, and should be stealthed in cover, as they are small and harder to see than people. The only major problem is they would be a pain to model.

 - Yea, a russian version of the goliath, xcept the dog can
be re-inforced? via the surviving trainer for relatively cheap.
Oh, yea, totally am for the ambush dynamics. And for them
to only be able to attack vehicles at least. But hard to
control, and can go for own or allie's units, using magnetic
dynamics, somewhat (whatever is a vehicle they go for)
Although, hm, that's what the trainer is for, yes?
Maybe separate them using a throw grenade function,
whereupon the separated dog will go for whatever is
 closest ;)
